Active Adult Community Enriches the Lives of Grandparents Buyers move to Windsong Manor at Seven Hills to be closer to son and grandchildren

ATLANTA – Like many of the homeowners at Windsong Manor, Randy and Donna Sickbert moved from their home in Loganville, Georgia to an active adult community to be closer to their son and grandchildren. They chose Windsong Manor at Seven Hills because it offered a convenient location near their family in Acworth, while providing a relaxing oasis full of like-minded people at the same stage of life.

 

“We really wanted to live in a neighborhood with people our age with similar interests,” Donna said. “You really feel like everyone is looking out for each other here. Everyone shares when they find good deals, great restaurants or travel tips. It’s nice that several of us help out with our grandchildren on a regular basis.”

 

Prior to moving to Windsong Manor, the Sickberts’ Loganville home was located 10 miles from shopping, dining and medical centers. Now, at Windsong Manor the couple is just minutes from a Publix, Kroger and Starbucks as well as doctor’s offices. In addition to being conveniently situated near necessities, the Sickberts’ new home is close to their son and grandchildren.

 

“Our son is off Wade Green Road, and that is only about 15 minutes away,” Randy said. “At our previous house, we would leave at 4 in the morning to beat traffic if they needed help with the kids, and it still took almost two hours to get them.”

“My brother came for a couple of nights and stayed for a week, and we all had our private space,” Donna said. “It’s like a house on top of a house. This living situation would be convenient if we ever needed live-in help.”

Homebuyers Work with Windsong to Refine the Design of a New Active Adult Plan

Don’t Wait until Retirement to Enjoy Windsong’s Easy Lifestyle - New Bel-Aire residents describe their decision to move now instead of later

ATLANTA – When people think about an active adult community, many think about needing to retire first. Why wait for retirement to enjoy an easier lifestyle? Homeowners Enjoy Easy Living at Windsong Manor

I have had both of my knees replaced and steps were a challenge there for a while. I like the single-living, but Bel-Aire wasn’t the right fit for us.”

Windsong Properties Hosts Clubhouse Warming Party at Bel-Aire

ATLANTA – Windsong Properties recently held a successful clubhouse warming and homeowner appreciation event at its active adult community of Bel-Aire in Powder Springs. Exclusively for existing homeowners, 60 residents enjoyed a catered lunch and toured the new facility.

“We wanted to get our homeowners together to thank them for their patience and patronage during the construction process,” explained Steve Romeyn, co-owner of Windsong Properties. “We held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the clubhouse and to honor our first homeowners. The residents are excited to start using this new space for community-wide gatherings.”

The private clubhouse features a grand family-style gathering room with fireplace, entertainment system and space to set up several large tables as needed. The facility offers residents a game room, fitness room with cardio machines and free-weights and a catering kitchen. Outside, residents can socialize on the wrap-around covered patio with stone fireplace, rockers and dining tables.

“The opening of the clubhouse shows that the community has certainly come a long way since we acquired it,” said Romeyn. “We appreciate its earliest pioneering homeowners for taking the risk and sticking around to help make Bel-Aire a great place to call home.”

Graylyn and William Lee closed on the first home in December of 2007 when the community was started as Trinity Village. They witnessed the real estate down turn and are excited to see their community coming to fruition. Lucy and Gregory George were also invited to cut the ribbon as Windsong’s first home buyers.

Active adult home builder expands in 2014 with hiring of real estate veteran Kimberlee Dye

ATLANTA – Windsong Properties is excited to introduce its latest addition to the team, Kimberlee Dye. With almost 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Dye will serve as the active adult home builder’s new sales agent at Bel-Aire in Powder Springs.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dye is licensed in Ohio, Florida and Georgia. She began her real estate career in 1988 as an office manager in a RE/MAX office. Since then, she has gained knowledge in marketing, customer service, management and even active adult home sales. Dye has been recognized multiple times for her work, including being awarded National Sales Agent of the Year.
