‘Yappy Hour’ at Lucky’s Benefits BC2A, Gets Boost from Lennar Atlanta

Brookhaven, Ga. (December 12, 2014) – On December 11, BC2A, Bring Change 2 Animals, Inc., the non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting the rescue and well-being of neglected and abused animals, held its first “Yappy Hour” benefit hosted by Lucky’s Burger and Brew in Town Brookhaven.  

 

In addition to great food and drinks at Diane and Ernie Geyer’s second Lucky’s restaurant (their first restaurant is in Roswell), there was live music by Cinnamon Groove, as well as a popular raffle emceed by local celebrity Tom Sullivan who volunteered his time to this worthy cause. As one of the main sponsors, Lennar Atlanta provided two Carnival Cruises and two Visa gift cards to help raise money for the charity that focuses especially on providing support for neglected and ‘broken’ dogs and horses.

 

More than 200 animal lovers attended BC2A’s ‘Yappy Hour’ including Ginny Bryant, Director of Sales and Marketing for Lennar Atlanta.

 

“I recently rescued a retired racehorse who also served as a Police Service Horse for the Mobile Mounted Police in Alabama. His joints had just given out. He’s such a sweet boy and is now enjoying a great life, and that’s what you want for so many beautiful animals that otherwise are cast aside,” she says. “Kate Swenson, the President and Founder of BC2A, is passionate about rescuing and providing tailor-made support to severely neglected and abused animals. It’s a great organization and we at Lennar Atlanta are honored to help it grow.”

Wexford to Host Pet Rescue Benefit TODAY

Lennar Atlanta is excited to announce a Wexford community event benefiting Green Pets American Humane Society. This event will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1 at the Wexford Community sales center in Marietta.

The main event for the weekend will be an onsite pet adoption from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Throughout both Saturday and Sunday, anyone may come and register at the community. For each person who registers, Lennar and the event's sponsors will be donating $10 to Green Pets American Humane Society. Up to a total of $1,000 will be donated, which equals 100 registration signatures. 

The event's sponsors include UAMC, Lennar Atlanta's in-house mortgage company; Smith, Ronick & Corbin, LLC., an Atlanta closing attorney firm; Atlanta Real Estate Forum, Atlanta's largest real estate blog and Atlanta's Best New Homes TV.

Green Pets American Humane Society's mission is "to promote the humane treatment of animals and inspire all to embrace the no kill movement." To help reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters, they rescue shelter animals who are scheduled to be euthanized, and then adopt them into a caring home. They currently have an adoption Complete storefront in Woodstock, but are trying to open more centers across Georgia.
