Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Continues to Secure its Standing in Gwinnett with Launch of Berkeley Hills Estates

Berkeleyhills05415Award-winning Atlanta homebuilder Debuts Fourth Gwinnett County Community

Atlanta, May 4, 2015 – Shortly after launching their Cobb County-based residential and construction company in 2010, industry veterans Thomas Olson, Jon Roby and Gregg Goldenberg set their sights on Gwinnett County as a place where they hoped to one day make a lasting impact. That day arrived in 2013 when their company’s first entrée to one of Georgia’s fastest growing counties came with the introduction of The River District in the City of Berkeley Lake, followed shortly thereafter by Del Mar Club in Dacula and Sawyer Farms in Grayson in 2014. First quarter 2015 has already brought the debut of a new Acadia Homes community in Gwinnett with Berkeley Hills Estates in Duluth.

“After just five years in the competitive Atlanta market, we are thrilled with the reception from local homebuyers to Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ concept of affordable luxury,” explains Michael Rosenberg, Acadia’s COO. “This is particularly apparent in Gwinnett, where the response to our communities throughout the county continues to be extremely positive – as it has been from the start. Gwinnett is just beautiful, with a charming blend of terrific town centers, bustling urban areas, award-winning parks system, sprawling green spaces and wonderful water features. We’re so happy to be building here and – by all accounts – homebuyers are happy we’re building here, too.”

Featuring single-family homes priced from the low $300s, Berkeley Hills Estates is poised between the rich history and Main Street charm of the City of Norcross and the progressive outlook and community-focused allure of the City of Duluth. Residents of Berkeley Hills Estates enjoy easy access to I-85, as well as all of the restaurants, boutiques, and popular brand stores of The Forum at Peachtree Parkway. The community is also adjacent to the renowned Berkeley Hills Country Club – which is celebrating an impressive 50-year tradition of championship golf and world-class amenities such as an aquatic center, tennis complex and more. In fact, Berkeley Hills Estates is situated on what once served as this distinguished club’s sprawling and scenic third nine course.  Homebuyers can select from five thoughtfully designed and exquisitely executed two-story single-family floorplans throughout this lovely new sidewalk community. Homes in Berkeley Hills boast 4 and 5 bedrooms along with cozy living spaces, gourmet kitchens that boast granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and a host of special luxury touches such as hand-scraped hardwood floors, trey ceilings per plan, designer wainscoting in the foyer, 9 foot ceilings on the main level and more. To best illustrate all of the aesthetic promise an Acadia home holds, the builder will present two model homes in the community, both professionally merchandised by award-winning interior designers. The first – which will be unveiled at a Grand Opening event on May 5 – showcases the design talents of Tanaya Morgan Williams of Parlay Interiors. The second is currently under construction and will be merchandised by Tracy Cook of Design Etc. Both designers have merchandised model homes for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods in the past that were recognized by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with Gold Obie Awards for Best Interior Merchandising.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Celebrates Five Years as Award-Winning Atlanta New Home Builder

Cobb-Based Residential Construction and Development Company Reflects on the Achievements of 2014 While Looking Ahead to Continued Success in 2015 and Beyond

Dreamteam1Atlanta, March 31, 2015 – 2014 was a year filled with achievements and accolades for Atlanta-based homebuilder, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. Beyond the remarkable growth of its influence throughout Metro Atlanta with the addition of nine new communities throughout the course of 2014, Acadia Homes debuted a highly lauded Design Gallery, added a number of awards to its trophy case, and introduced a sleek new brand image complete with logo, website, and tagline, “All About You.” One quarter into 2015, and Acadia Homes shows no signs of slowing as it celebrates its fifth anniversary as an award-winning Atlanta new homebuilder.

“When Thomas Olson, Jon Roby and I first set out to establish ‘A New Builder For A New Time’ with Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, there was no way to forecast where we would be today,” said Gregg Goldenberg, company president and CEO. “We launched in 2010, just a couple of years after the bottom fell out of the housing market nationwide. Our original model was simple – to purchase entire developments or home sites within previously established developments and transform them into communities through smart construction practices, thoughtfully executed floorplans, competitive pricing and – perhaps most important – a focus on providing a positive home buying experience to our customers.”

Comprised of just six neighborhoods at its inception, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods currently has 15 active communities in Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall and Jackson Counties – with five more on the way over the course of the next few months. During 2014, Acadia Homes was recognized by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with five OBIE Awards for everything from Sales Manager of the Year to Best Interior Merchandising of a Model Home and by the National Association of Home Builders with a National Award for the stunning realization of its unique and interactive Design Gallery. It also placed at #9 of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta. While the Acadia Homes team enjoys the accolades it receives from the media and industry experts, the greatest rewards come from the praise of its home buyers.

“’All About You’ isn’t merely a tagline – it’s our company philosophy,” stated Goldenberg. “Our home buyers are the ones to which we should be most grateful. The first ones took a chance on a relatively unknown builder – they didn’t necessarily know that we had a combined 50 years of experience to back us up, they just knew that they liked what they saw. Since then, it’s been a series of building blocks as word continues to spread about Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. Most of that buzz is coming from our home buyers, to which we are eternally grateful. In 2015, we are committed to the continual improvement of our product and our customer experience. Those have been the keys to our success over the course of the last five years, and will continue to be so for the next five and beyond.”

In 2015, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods plans to place a larger focus on adding communities inside the perimeter, particularly those that feature the builder’s luxury townhome product.  Outside the perimeter, Acadia intends to return to its roots by presenting its single family home product on a larger scale – with greater square footage and lots of special touches throughout. The Design Gallery – which opened in 2014 – will continue to factor heavily in Acadia’s delivery of a unique and unsurpassed home buying experience, regardless of size and style of home.

Sutton Park Serves as Exciting First Step in New Direction for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods in 2015

1Atlanta New Home Builder Looks to Develop a Number of Luxury Townhome Communities in New Year, Beginning with Intimate Enclave of 25 Homes Off of Prestigious Paces Ferry

Atlanta, January 6, 2015 – Shortly after first arriving on the Atlanta home building scene in 2010, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods flexed its visionary development muscle in a number of ways: suburban single family home communities, active adult communities, and urban townhome communities. Met with rave reviews on all fronts, the new home builder changed its focus slightly for 2014 – concentrating mainly on its “meat-and-potatoes” single family efforts throughout Metro Atlanta, growing to an astounding 25 communities by year’s end. Looking ahead to 2015 – backed by a solid track record of success at its City Park Townhomes and Sutherland Corners properties in the past – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods broadens its vision once again to include more townhome communities. Sutton Park in the popular Smyrna-Vinings area of Atlanta serves as a stunning encore to Acadia’s nod to the urban lifestyle for the New Year.

“Single family home communities continue to reign supreme in the Atlanta area,” explains Michael Rosenberg, Chief Operating Officer for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “However, we are seeing a growing trend toward walkable communities in urban areas and have been receiving more requests for our luxury townhome product. We did offer detached townhomes in 2014 at our Kirkwood Green community near Little Five Points and Virginia-Highland – which continues to be very well-received, but for 2015 – we plan to devote greater concentration to traditional townhome communities. Sutton Park serves as a terrific introduction to this notion, followed shortly thereafter by another exciting new community near the historic Decatur Square and Decatur Farmer’s Market.” 2

Priced from the $300,000’s, Sutton Park is ideally located near Paces Ferry Road and Spring Hill Parkway in unincorporated Cobb County. This rapidly rising townhome community offers its homeowners the prestige of an Atlanta address with the benefits of low county taxes and an easy commute to Downtown Atlanta. Within minutes of all that Smyrna has to offer its citizens, residents of Sutton Park will be afforded the opportunity to enjoy outings to a number of delightful parks nearby, as well as the charming shops and restaurants of Vinings Jubilee, West Village, and Smyrna Market Village. The City of Smyrna plays host to a regularly rotating calendar of events that includes the Spring & Fall Jonquil Festivals, Smyrna Fresh Produce Market, Food Truck Tuesdays, Summer Concert Series, Taste of Smyrna, and much more.

“While our location, accessibility to key destinations, and value sets Sutton Park apart from other communities in the area, it’s perhaps equally compelling that our quality of construction, attention to detail and willingness to listen to our buyers sets Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods apart from other builders in Atlanta,” insists Tim Parker, Neighborhood Sales Manager for Sutton Park. “Our floorplans are designed for living and entertaining. The homes at Sutton Park include hardwood floors, oak tread staircases and fireplaces as standard features which are typically upgrades with other builders, and the exteriors of our homes are built to last with 3-sides brick and 100% Hardie plank finishes. Our proximity to fine dining, superb shopping and entertainment including the Cobb Energy Center and  the new Braves stadium offer an in town lifestyle  without the in-town price.  At Sutton Park you get the best of both worlds – plus a great tax rate!”

Parker feels certain that Sutton Park will appeal to a broad range of home buyers thanks in part to its convenience and affordability. Having lived and worked in the area for nearly 20 years, he welcomes the chance to introduce new home buyers to all that Smyrna-Vinings has to offer as they work together to create the townhome of their dreams. Home buyers in Sutton Park will have an opportunity to choose all of their interior finishes at Acadia’s award-winning Design Gallery in Atlanta – an interactive showroom where they can select everything from carpet and countertops to lighting and bathroom tile. To schedule a tour of Sutton Park with Tim Parker or his assistant – Simone Mills – agents and home buyers are invited to call 404.304.1304 or visit the sales office at 3131 Boldmere Trail in Atlanta, which is open Sunday from 12pm-6pm, Monday from 1pm-6pm, and Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-6pm.  For more information about Sutton Park, prospective home buyers are encouraged to visit www.acadiahomes.com/communities/sutton-park.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Design Gallery Recognized with National Award Showroom for Atlanta New Home Builder to Receive Silver Award for Best Design Center from National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at “The Nationals” Awards Ceremony in Jan

The Design Gallery by Acadia Homes & NeighborhoodsAtlanta, December 15, 2014 – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has been catapulted to the national stage thanks to the recent debut of its new Design Gallery – located inside Suite 100 at 2110 Powers Ferry Road. The Atlanta-based new home builder will be recognized at the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) highly revered “The Nationals℠ 2015” Awards Ceremony on January 20 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with a Silver Award for Best Design Center. To help realize the unique vision of company founder and CEO Gregg Goldenberg and Chief Operating Officer Michael Rosenberg, the Acadia team enlisted the collaborative efforts of its Marketing Director, Laura Mahon and respected designers, Jane Meagher of Success Strategies and Byron Sumney of SummDesign, Inc. The Design Gallery Manager, Terance Manly, was also a huge part of the reason Acadia received this prestigious award.

In an effort to provide customers with a home buying experience that is second to none, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods first unveiled its state-of-the-art Design Gallery in February 2014. Met with rave reviews from home buyers and industry professionals alike, the innovative and immersive 4500 SF showroom is representative of a sensory-driven, one-stop shopping experience. Guests explore Inspiration Zones – offering a series of vignettes that combine tangible elements, visual images and digital technology to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Museum-inspired interactive stations set this Design Gallery apart as home buyers touch and view samples displayed on pocket door panels for a prospective sneak peek at how the exterior and interior of their new home might appear. Since the Gallery’s opening, option sales revenue has nearly tripled from that of the previous design encounter. In addition to increased profitability, the Gallery will serve to solidify the builder’s standing in the market and redefine the concept of home buying. Interior 2 of the Acadia Homes Design Gallery

“We are extremely flattered by the response from both our peers and home buyers,” said Goldenberg. “The Nationals is considered the pinnacle as the National Sales & Marketing Council for the NAHB collects entries from all over the country in order to celebrate the very best in the home building industry. The Acadia team is delighted to be counted among them. In addition to this win, our Design Gallery also up for consideration for a Gold Award in the same category – the winner of which will be announced at the award ceremony in Las Vegas in January. We knew we were onto something very special – the honor of this award and the recent OBIE Award from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association serves to validate that belief. Perhaps most important is the daily feedback we receive from our customers who often say the Design Gallery is one of their favorite aspects of buying an Acadia home.”

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Honored with Five OBIE Awards Atlanta New Home Builder Recognized for Best Interior Merchandising, Sales Center, Promotional Video and Sales Manager of the Year During the 34th Annual OBIE Awards

Atlanta, November 24, 2014 – After four solid years on Atlanta’s competitive housing scene, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods continues to be recognized as one of city’s rising stars. On the heels of placing at #9 in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual list of Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta, Acadia Homes has been honored with five OBIEs during the 34th Annual OBIE Awards. Hosted each November by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA), this year’s event took place at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and featured some of the city’s boldest and brightest builders, developers, remodelers, marketers, and real estate professionals. At the end of the evening, the Acadia team went back to their corporate headquarters with an armload full of OBIEs that included:

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods VP of Sales and Marketing - Sam Bass (lo res)

Sales Manager of the Year to Acadia Home’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Sam Bass: In addition to lively weekly sales meetings and regular appearances on Atlanta’s Best New Homes TV, Bass directly supervises an astounding 25 communities and 30 salespeople throughout Metro Atlanta. Under his watch in 2013, sales comprised 209 homes – representing more than $58M in total volume of new homes sold.

  • Gold OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising – Detached Model ($299,999 and under) to Sawyer Farms: The exquisitely adorned model home at this Acadia community in Grayson was designed by Tanaya Morgan Williams of Parlay Interiors. Showcasing the highest potential of the popular 3139 square foot Jackson floor plan where space is maximized without appearing cluttered, Williams masterfully illustrates “a step up” without making it appear out of reach.  Everything from color palette, to furnishings and finishes, to art and accessories were carefully selected to enhance the home and entice the buyer. Sawyer Farms Dining Room
  • Silver OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising – Detached Model ($300,000 to $449,999) to Kirkwood Green: Located in Acadia Homes trendiest in-town community, the model home needed to evoke a sense of style and sophistication that would leave an indelible mark on guests. By enlisting the aid of designer Sandy Moon of Focus Design Interiors – whose designs have garnered Acadia OBIE Awards in the past – the home accomplishes that and more. The use of neutral colors with dark trim open up the rooms, while modern stylization offsets the period-influence of homes in the surrounding historic neighborhood in order to appeal to refined younger set.
  • Silver OBIE for Best Community Information/Sales Center to Acadia Homes’ new Design Gallery: The entirely innovative and completely immersive Design Gallery – which just opened earlier this year – invites guests to “prepare to be inspired” through a series of interactive stations and imaginatively-displayed vignettes designed to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. While here, home buyers can select everything from paint colors and flooring to countertops and cabinets.
  • Silver OBIE for Best Audio-Video/DVD Promotion to the Acadia Homes Feature produced by Hometown Builder Television: The beautifully executed, professionally produced 6 minute video uses a news feature format to showcase Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods as a homebuilder that not only cares about its customers, but also the quality of the homes it builds. In addition to segments that feature CEO Gregg Goldenberg and numerous sweeping product shots, the video also uses testimonials from a variety of home buyers to secure credibility with the viewer – who is likely a prospective home buyer. The video appears on the homepage of AcadiaHomes.com and plays on a continuous loop in Acadia sales centers throughout Metro Atlanta.

“Our work has resonated with the OBIE judges since the first time we entered a project in 2011,” recalled Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “To date, we have been honored with 15 OBIE Awards in everything from landscape design and interior merchandising to urban revitalization and sales performance. That just goes to show that we are a very well-rounded company. I’m particularly proud of the fact that this year marks our best showing – as we grow our influence throughout Metro Atlanta, so follows the need for a larger trophy case. It is so fulfilling for me and my entire team to be recognized for our efforts by a distinguished panel of our peers. We’d like to thank the Sales & Marketing Council for hosting another stellar event. The fact that they had a packed house speaks volumes about the much-anticipated return of a healthy homebuilding industry in Atlanta.”

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Builds Sleek New Brand Image

Acadia-Homes-Logo 2014Award-Winning Builder and Developer Debuts New Logo, Tagline and Website to Reflect Bold Outlook and Current Standing in Atlanta Marketplace

Atlanta, October 7, 2014 – After four highly successful years in the Atlanta housing market, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is suddenly building something other than houses: a sleek new brand image. With more than 20 communities throughout the metro area and a slew of accolades to its credit, the award-winning homebuilder is happy to shed its extremely effective "A New Builder For A New Time" tagline as the company looks ahead to an extremely promising future. The combined debut of a new logo, tagline and website serve to celebrate Acadia’s departure from the image that helped launch its success over the course of the last four years. During a year that has included the opening of a 4500 square foot state-of-the-art Design Gallery and placement at #9 among Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta, Acadia Homes is proud to proclaim that it’s "All About You."

Acadia Homes Neighborhoods New Website - October 2014"I will always have a particular fondness for our original 'New Builder For A New Time’ tagline, as it really helped identify us to Atlanta home buyers during a time when they were very leery of the 'old guard’ leading out of the housing market crash," explains Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. "However, after just four short years, we are at a point in time when we’re more than ready to assume the role of an established and trusted builder. Since our debut in 2010, we’ve made the Top Ten of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta twice and have been honored with several awards – including a 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty Award for Customer Service Excellence, a number of OBIEs from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the 2013 Pacesetter Award from Atlanta Business Chronicle where we earned our place at #5 among Atlanta’s fastest growing, privately held companies. The new 'All About You" tagline truly reflects the attitude at the heart of our company as it has been from day one. Everything we do, from concept to completion, is all about the home buyer. We want them to have an unsurpassed home buying experience, that is second only to the actual ownership of their new Acadia home."

In addition to the tagline, the home builder has recently debuted a crisper, cleaner logo and an image-centric website designed by Rearview Advertising that features:

- Responsive design to make the website accessible on phone, tablet and desktop devices
- Community filter to narrow the home search based on numerous preferences ranging from number of bedrooms and baths to price point, amenity features and location
- Larger product images to better showcase the beautiful homes for which Acadia has based its reputation
- Upgraded floor plan module which allows for easy navigation of available plans, elevations, virtual tours and details

Acadia Homes Now Building in Four of the Ten Best Places to Retire in Georgia

 Acadia

In September 2014, the credit card comparison and financial education website – CreditDonkey.com – released its list of Ten Best Cities to Retire in Georgia. To determine which cities to place on the list, CreditDonkey looked to U.S. Census data for Georgia's incorporated cities with a population of at least 20,000, and then examined each to see how they ranked with regard to five categories that included: Senior Population, Housing, Income, Recreation, and Healthcare/social assistance. When all was said and done, making the list were four cities where Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is either currently building or is about to break ground:

#6) Gainesville:  Boasting a 9.5% population of residents over 65, a median household income of $32,139 for the 65+ set, a highly touted hospital system in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and a big beautiful lake for fishing and boating, Gainesville is a natural choice for active adults and retirees.  It was also a natural choice for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods – which is currently building in McKinley Crossing, located less than 2 miles from the boat ramp, grills, picnic tables, swimming area and playground at Keith’s Bridge Park on the shores of Georgia’s Great Lake. Poised near the historic city’s charming town center, McKinley Crossing features beautifully crafted four- and five-bedroom Craftsman-style homes priced from the $220,000’s – many of which boast rocking chair front porches and spacious living spaces, adding to the “Southern Hospitality” feel that is synonymous with an historic city like Gainesville. Two very popular floorplans among active adults who prefer to keep their living spaces on one level are the Hartwell and the Sinclair (both of which are also available at Covenant Place in Powder Springs, Bakers Farm in Braselton, and Parks at Durham Lakes in Fairburn.)

#4) Duluth:  With 8.3% of the population aged 65+, a median household income of $42,031 for the 65+ set, and a community-focused atmosphere featuring a lively arts scene and jam-packed calendar of events at the Town Green, there’s an awful lot for retirees to love about Duluth. Acadia’s soon-to-launch Berkeley Hills Estates – featuring beautiful homes priced from the high $200,000’s – is sure to be among them. Future residents of Berkeley Hills Estates will enjoy easy access to I-85, wonderful restaurants, delightful boutiques, popular brand stores, and the renowned Berkeley Hills Country Club – which is celebrating an impressive 50-year tradition of championship golf and world-class amenities such as an aquatic center, tennis complex, and more. As a matter of fact, Berkeley Hills Estates is situated on what once served as the distinguished club’s sprawling and scenic third nine course.  Towering pines and lush landscape are the hallmarks of this lovely Gwinnett County community.

#3) Roswell: Laying claim to 10.6% of the population aged 65 or greater, a median household income of $55,347 among 65+ residents, and a wealth of colorful history dating back to before the Civil War, it’s no surprise that Roswell made it in the top three. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods was also drawn here for it’s amazing town square, art community, treasure trove of eclectic shops and imaginative restaurants, and proximity to the Chattahoochee River. The builder is excited to debut Village on Pine - an intimate enclave of just 15 homes. Designed to celebrate the classic beauty and Southern charm that is synonymous with a town that played such a significant role in Georgia’s history, homes in Village on Pine will co-exist magnificently with the antebellum mansions and estates that are poised just around the corner, including the Archibald Smith Plantation, Bulloch Hall and Barrington Hall. Future residents of Village on Pine will also enjoy strolls along the scenic Vickery Creek Trail and attendance at open air concerts at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore – which regularly plays host to such recognizable and varied artists as James Taylor, Keith Urban, and more. Homes in Village on Pine will be priced from the $400,000’s.

#2) Marietta: Nearly topping the list with 9.8% of the population at 65 or older, a median household income of $38,702 among 65+ residents, and a sublime and historic square, Marietta has enormous appeal for retirees and active adults. The renowned Marietta Square regularly plays host to a bevy of community events that include farmers markets, festivals, open air concerts and more. Radiating out from the square is a terrific collection of shops and dining establishments. Located within strolling distance of the square is Acadia’s Manor Park – which boasts an exclusive collection of “cottage”-inspired homes priced from the mid-$300,000’s that feature timeless elevations, thoughtfully-laid floorplans, luxury appointments and rear-entry garages. All homes in Manor Park reflect the undeniable charm of the distinctive Cobb County sidewalk community that surrounds them.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Partners with Angel Oak Funding as Preferred Lender

Shared Commitment to Delivering a Superior Client Experience at the Heart of Affiliation between Award-Winning Atlanta Builder and Highly Revered Atlanta Mortgage Lender

Jeffrey Conn - Angel Oak Funding
Jeffrey Conn - Angel Oak Funding

Atlanta, July 10, 2014 – Earlier this year, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods joined forces with another Atlanta-based company –  Angel Oak Funding - LogoAngel Oak Funding – to provide a blend of customer service excellence and innovative lending products to homebuyers. The companies were drawn together by two founding concepts: 1) Because they were both created following the housing market crash of 2008, each represents a clean slate and fresh perspective on the future of Atlanta’s housing industry. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods launched with the tagline “A New Builder For A New Time,” while Angel Oak Funding was determined to buck the sullied reputation of larger financial institutions by providing a personal touch and proprietary products that fall “outside the box.” 2) Both companies are committed to delivering a superior client experience to each and every homebuyer they serve. Acadia Homes has been recognized for this commitment with awards for service excellence from highly respected homebuilding industry organizations like 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty® and GuildQuality, while Angel Oak Funding consistently achieves high customer satisfaction with 94% of its clients indicating a willingness to refer the lender to friends, family members, and associates on post-closing surveys.

“We didn’t wish to partner with a large national financial institution where we and – more importantly – our home buyers might be only a number,” explains Gregg Goldenberg, President & CEO of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “In addition to proximity, our locally-based companies share common philosophies with regard to our personal growth and approach toward customers. Just as we try to provide a personalized experience to our homebuyers through encounters with everyone from skilled and knowledgeable on-site agents and builders, to the talented team at our Design Gallery and corporate office throughout the home buying process – Jeffrey Conn and his mortgage lenders at Angel Oak Funding strive to bring a best in class experience from the moment a contract is inked all the way to the closing table.”

Having partnered with major lenders in the past, Goldenberg and his team appreciate the fact that they are now working with a local decision maker that is heavily involved in its business and processes – much like the rapidly growing Atlanta home builder, which currently has 25 neighborhoods throughout Metro Atlanta with more on the way.

“Angel Oak Funding is proud to be the strategic mortgage partner of Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods,” says Jeffrey Conn, Licensed Mortgage Advisor for Angel Oak Funding. “Through due diligence, they found that our diversified portfolio of loan programs would best meet their homebuyers’ mortgage needs. Acadia and its homebuyers appreciate the fact that we can offer them flexibility, as well as a dedicated staff to get prospective clients approved and in their new Acadia home faster than some of our competitors. Of course, we love the fact that Acadia and Angel Oak Funding are two Atlanta-based companies that our positioned to grow together based on our shared commitment to providing the very best in quality products and customer service.”

Grayson is home to trendy, upscale retailers, but also hosts a classic year-round farmers market every Wednesday afternoon – all of which are located within 3 to 4 miles of Sawyer Farms. We felt it would be the ideal spot to introduce our four-sides brick product, and we knew Anise Hawkins would be the ideal Neighborhood Sales Manager to represent Acadia Homes in the area.”

Sample of Living Spaces in One of the Floorplans Offered at Acadia's Sawyer FarmsHawkins – a resident of Gwinnett County since 2001 – boasts 17 years in the real estate industry, the last 9 of those as a broker. With a deep understanding of the construction process and an even deeper respect for quality craftsmanship, she enjoys sharing both with prospective homebuyers. She once sold 32 homes in just six weeks – a feat she hopes to repeat at Sawyer Farms. Hawkins was first drawn to Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods by the attention to detail the company pays to both its product and the delivery of excellent customer service. She is excited to be representing Sawyer Farms in Grayson – not just for its aesthetic beauty, but also for the value it offers future homeowners.

Sample of Dining Room in One of the Floorplans Offered at Acadia's Sawyer Farms“In addition to being the only brand new four-sides brick community in Grayson priced under $300,000, Sawyer Farms also represents terrific value,” insists Hawkins. “Homes in Sawyer Farms come with a 100-year warranty on the brick, as well as the potential for significant savings on energy and gas. Homeowners of brick homes often witness up to 8% energy savings – which can add up over the years. All homes in the community also feature four-sides sod, four-sides gutter systems and quick recovery gas water heaters. Beyond the value represented by homes in Sawyer Farms, it’s on track to be a terrific swim-cabana community with an active home owners association.  It’s also minutes to excellent shopping and dining, several terrific Gwinnett County parks, and Highways 124 and 316. Students living in the community attend Starling Elementary, Couch Middle, and Grayson High School – all part of the highly touted Gwinnett County Public School System. As a mom to three children of my own, I’m very familiar with Gwinnett County schools, parks and – of course – the shopping.”

Sample of Master Bedroom in One of the Floorplans Offered at Acadia's Sawyer FarmsBeyond the superiority of the product and location, Hawkins is most eager to help home buyers take advantage of homes in Sawyer Farms during the earliest stages. She encourages home buyers to consider taking the leap now – when they can select their ideal home site, take advantage of low prices and interest rates, and begin building equity in their home right away rather than waiting and possibly paying more for the same home as the housing market continues to rebound. Home buyers in Sawyer Farms will also have an opportunity to experience Acadia’s new Design Gallery – where they can select everything from light fixtures and flooring to cabinetry and countertops.

To schedule an appointment to tour available homes and home sites in Sawyer Farms, prospective home buyers and local agents are encouraged to call Mrs. Hawkins at 678.787.4177. To get to Sawyer Farms, visitors can take 85 N to 316 E heading towards Lawrenceville/Athens and travel 2.1 miles. Take the Sugarloaf Parkway exit for .5 miles, Turn right onto Sugarloaf Parkway and travel 6.5 miles, Turn right onto GA-20 E/Grayson Highway and travel 1.3 miles. Make a U-turn across from Starling Elementary and the neighborhood will be on the immediate right. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Invites Home Buyers to “Prepare to Be Inspired” at its New Design Gallery

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Design Gallery (lo res)Award-Winning Atlanta Home Builder Debuts State-of-the-Art Design Center to Rave Reviews
from Agents and Home Buyers Alike

Atlanta, March 11 – 2013 was a banner year for the highly acclaimed and rapidly rising Atlanta home builder – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, and with the recent debut of its sleek and sophisticated state-of-the-art Design Gallery, 2014 is already shaping up to be even bigger and better. Located inside Suite 100 at 2110 Powers Ferry Road in Atlanta’s Shadowood Office Complex, the NEW Acadia Homes Design Gallery is expected to enhance an already award-winning customer service experience even further. The combined vision of Acadia founder and CEO Gregg Goldenberg and Chief Operating Officer Michael Rosenberg, Acadia Homes & Neighborhood’s Design Gallery invites Atlanta home buyers to “Prepare to be Inspired” through a series of Inspiration Zones designed to meet a wide variety of tastes. Acadia Design Gallery Interior 2 (lo res)

The entirely innovative Design Gallery features 4500 square feet of showroom floor, representative of an interactive audio-visual one-stop shopping experience for Acadia home buyers where they can explore different combinations and pick out everything from light fixtures and cabinetry to flooring and paint colors. Rosenberg worked closely with highly respected national designer, Jane Meagher to develop the pioneering design and layout of the Design Gallery – showcasing many of the stunning design elements one might find in an Acadia home. Inspiration Zones offer four different vignettes that the Atlanta home builder embraces to appeal to a vast array of homebuyers: Traditional, Contemporary, Transitional and Craftsman. Each vignette combines tangible elements, visual images and digital technology to inspire visitors from the moment they enter the Gallery.  From there, they can visit a variety of interior and exterior interactive stations that set Acadia’s Design Gallery apart from other showrooms. For instance, home buyers can see samples of elements vertically displayed, such as countertops, backsplashes, cabinetry, and hardware to get a sneak peek of how their new kitchen might appear.

“The provision of quality crafted homes and an unsurpassed customer experience have always been at the heart of Acadia’s mission,” explains Rosenberg. “Last year alone, we were honored with a Pacesetter Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the Fifth Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in Atlanta, a Customer Service Excellence Award from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, a GuildMaster with Distinction Award from GuildQuality, and several Gold and Silver OBIE Awards from the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) – indicating that we’re clearly in step with that mission. Still, we’re always seeking ways to improve – both our product and our customer service experience. The introduction of the Design Gallery to our already extensive list of service offerings will undoubtedly provide our customers with a home buying experience that is second to none – whether they have found an existing home from our inventory that they love, but wish to tailor the interior to fit their individual tastes or they are building the home from the ground up. I don’t think there are many things that are more exciting than buying a new home, and a visit to our Design Gallery will enhance that excitement significantly.”

Acadia Design Gallery Interior (lo-res)Terance Manly has joined the Acadia team as Design Gallery Manager. In this newly created role, Manly is responsible for keeping Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods on the cutting edge of new design options and assisting newly contracted home buyers in the unique customization of their homes. Manly began his colorful career as a fashion manager and buyer for a national department store, where he eventually found his true niche when he made his way to the design side in the home furnishings department. He later made the leap to residential construction as a design showroom manager for two other respected Atlanta builders before joining the team at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods in 2013.

“Terance’s impeccable sense of style and vision makes him a natural choice to lead our Design Gallery,” insists Rosenberg. “Given his history in fashion and management of design showrooms, we have no doubt that customers will feel at ease and inspired as Terance walks them through the process of making their new Acadia home uniquely their own. “

With 22 communities either in development or open for sales throughout Metro Atlanta, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods will have a regular flow of traffic through its new Design Gallery. Following a “soft opening” to real estate professionals and vendor partners on February 20, the Acadia Design Gallery is now officially open for business and has already been met with rave reviews from home buyers and industry professionals alike. To learn more about Acadia’s Design Gallery and available homes in communities all over Metro Atlanta, prospective home buyers and interested real estate professionals are invited to visit www.acadiahomes.com.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Debuts Del Mar Club in Dacula

Eric Becraft - Acadia Homes - Del Mar ClubAward-Winning Atlanta Builder Makes Itself Right at Home in Gwinnett County with Second New Home Community and New Neighborhood Sales Manager – Eric Becraft

Atlanta, February 18 – For the past two decades, Gwinnett County has made its mark on the map of Georgia as one of the fastest growing counties in America. Atlanta new home builder, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, launched in 2010 with a handful of communities – largely placed in and around Cobb County where the company is headquartered. Thanks to increasing demand and the rapidly growing popularity of the Acadia brand, by 2013 the new home builder laid claim to over a dozen neighborhoods throughout Metro Atlanta – which included the trek east with Acadia’s first foray into Gwinnett and the premiere of River District. Located in the City of Berkeley Lake, River District is a stunning gated community on the banks of the Chattahoochee River featuring luxury homes priced from the high $500,000’s. At the start of 2014 – included among a list of 20 current and coming soon Atlanta new home communities – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods demonstrates even more exciting growth as it raises the curtain on its second Gwinnett County venture with Del Mar Club in Dacula. Acadia’s Raleigh Floorplan Now Available at The Del Mar Club

“We always knew we were going to build in Gwinnett County,” explained Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “All of the reasons that make it one of the fastest growing counties in America – excellent schools, a nationally recognized parks & recreation department, great venues for shopping and dining, charming town squares and well-managed local governments, access to major interstates and highways, and scenic landscapes – are among many of the things we look for when planning a new Acadia community. This newest community – Del Mar Club – is the perfect platform for us to debut some magnificent new elevations from our popular Capitol Collection. Homes in Del Mar Club will showcase intelligently planned layouts, lovely exteriors and affordable price points from the $200,000’s. The community is situated in the family-friendly City of Dacula – which has experienced tremendous growth in recent years.”

Style meets substance in Acadia’s newest up-and-coming development. Sweeping panoramas at every turn, loads of greenspace, and close proximity to I-85 and Highway 316 are just a few of the enticements that led Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods to break ground here. Del Mar Club is a swim-tennis community that is comprised of 70 homesites and resort-quality amenities. Future Del Mar Club homeowners can enjoy easy access to shopping and dining at both Sugarloaf Mills and Mall of Georgia, as well as sporting events and concerts at Gwinnett Arena and Coolray Field – Home of the Gwinnett Braves. Students living in Del Mar Club will attend highly-revered Gwinnett County Schools: Harbins Elementary, McConnell Middle, and Archer High Schools. At the helm as Neighborhood Sales Manager, seasoned real estate veteran Eric Becraft looks forward to introducing prospective home buyers to Del Mar Club.

“All of the family-oriented floorplans in Del Mar Club feature either 4 bedroom/3 bathroom or 5 bedroom/4 bathroom layouts,” said Becraft. “Each home offers a media room, a number of flexible living spaces and terrific integrated features. The location is terrific, too. Within a matter of minutes, you can be shopping at the Mall of Georgia or The Shoppes at Webb Gin in Snellville, at the park tossing the ball, catching a Gwinnett Braves game, or attending church services on Sunday morning. I’m a particularly big fan of the price point, and know that home buyers will be fans of that specific feature, as well. You get an awful lot of quality, square footage, and features for that price point.”

Before joining the Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ team in December 2013, Becraft was a frequent top producer in real estate sales in his home state of New York. After moving here with his family in 2006, he represented former Atlanta builder, Winmark Homes and national home builder, John Wieland Homes. However, Becraft does not credit his success in real estate sales to experience alone. Instead, he makes a point to acknowledge his wife and two children.

“I am so in love with my family,” explained Becraft. “That love helps me connect with other parents who love their families, too. It’s what makes Del Mar Club such a great fit for my talents. We’re both family-focused.”

Del Mar Club is currently pre-selling. Home buyers in Del Mar Club will be among the first to have their homes inspired by Acadia’s new state-of-the-art Design Gallery. Featuring 4500 square feet of showroom floor, the Gallery is representative of an interactive audio-visual one stop shopping experience where Acadia home buyers can explore different combinations and pick out everything from light fixtures and cabinetry to flooring and paint colors. To schedule a tour of the community to view available homesites with Eric Becraft, prospective homebuyers are encouraged to call (404) 304-0635 or e-mail ebecraft@acadiahomes.us. To get to the community from Atlanta, interested parties can take I-85 North to Hwy 316 East (University Parkway). Follow Hwy 316 East to Harbins Road and turn right. Del Mar Club will be on the left.

Will Mongesku Joins Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods as Director of Purchasing

WillMongeskuHighly Acclaimed Atlanta Home Builder Brings on Rising Industry Star to Help Control Purchasing
and Cut Costs Without Compromising Signature Level of Quality

Atlanta, January 7 – As another unfortunate consequence of the housing market crash of 2008, the once deep pool of trade professionals has shrunk considerably. Having fled to other lines of work in recent years, this sharp decline in the number of plumbers, electricians, brick masons, carpenters, roofers and general laborers has led to increased costs across the board as the residential construction industry endeavors to bounce back. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods – an award-winning new home builder that is committed to being “A New Builder For A New Time” – is rapidly building a solid reputation in Atlanta for its signature blend of quality construction, thoughtfully-designed floorplans, distinctive communities, and wide range of offerings at affordable prices. In order to continue to do so, it became clear that the development of a strong purchasing department was essential to support the company’s future growth. To that end, company co-founder and CFO Thomas Olson recently brought on Will Mongesku as Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ new Director of Purchasing.

“We’re excited to add Will and his understanding of purchasing and estimating to the Acadia team,” said Olson. “In the short time he has been here, he has already proven an excellent fit for our corporate culture, and will no doubt have a hand in further shaping that culture in the years to come as we continue to grow as a company. We pride ourselves on having a great synergy internally at Acadia, and the addition of Will can help us extend that same synergy to our trade partners. I am confident that Will and his Purchasing team members will not only help strengthen our trade relationships and control our costs, but will ultimately improve our expenditures and make us more efficient as a company.”

Mongesku brings a wealth of experience in the homebuilding industry to the Acadia team. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, he began his career as a Project Engineering Manager with Jordan Engineering Group in Phoenix, Arizona where he was responsible for the structural design and value engineering of single- and multi-family residential homes. His path eventually led him to Atlanta where he joined Ashton Woods Homes as Corporate Structural Engineer and Purchasing Agent for their Atlanta Division. When he learned of the quest for a Director of Purchasing at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, he saw it as a terrific opportunity to make the leap into a department and company he admired.

“I really believed in what Acadia had set out to do in the Atlanta market and wanted to be a part of it,” recalled Mongesku. “Rather than raise prices, Acadia sought to add a dedicated department to control purchasing and creatively cut costs along the way. My background in engineering means that I can analyze all of the aspects of building a home, examine the costs associated with each element, and find opportunities to cut costs wisely and effectively. We can do this a number of ways – through scheduling of materials, cutting waste, implementing powerful purchasing software, looking closely at how a trade does his/her work, and building stronger relationships with our trade professionals and vendors.”

Mongesku was drawn to Acadia for its leadership team, which he viewed as energetic, intelligent and driven. While the economic downturn had thrown most people in the homebuilding industry for a loop, he admired the fact that the Acadia team chose to learn from it in order to develop methods and visions that are wholly unique. He was particularly buoyed by the fact that they encourage innovation from their team members, which is what Mongesku has applied in building his Purchasing team and departmental approach.

Mongesku lives in Woodstock with his wife, Sherry and their two children – Audrey and Luke. When not hard at work in Acadia’s Purchasing Department, he enjoys coaching his son’s soccer team and attending his daughter’s Science Olympiad events.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Unwraps Woodland Cove in Time for the Holidays

Woodlandcove121113Award-Winning Atlanta Home Builder Launches Newest Community and New Home Collection in Sought-After Alpharetta

Atlanta, December 3 – Representing Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ third foray into Fulton County, Woodland Cove is the highly acclaimed new home builder’s first community established in the City of Alpharetta – one of Metro Atlanta’s most sought-after suburbs and one of the South’s fastest growing metropolises. Upon completion, Woodland Cove will be an intimate enclave of 28 executive-style homes on heavily wooded slab and basement home sites. Homes in Acadia’s newest community will signify another exciting first – the launch of a new collection of floorplans aptly named the Portfolio Series.

“We launched the Capitol and Signature Collections in 2012, which corresponded to two different ends of Acadia’s product spectrum,” explained Michael Rosenberg, VP of Operations for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “The Capitol Collection represents some of our more popular affordably priced and thoughtfully designed floorplans, while the Signature Collection is made up of luxury semi-custom homes in some of Metro Atlanta’s most stylish neighborhoods. Leading into 2014, we are excited to unveil the Portfolio Series – elegant and spacious executive-style homes with price points beginning in the $400,000 and $500,000 range. We believe it is the ideal collection for home buyers in the Alpharetta area and are initially introducing five new designs.”

Onsite at the sidewalk community, real estate industry veterans and Acadia Neighborhood Sales Managers – Sharon Jones and Kim Mandas – are eager to introduce prospective homebuyers to Woodland Cove. The response thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. The first two homes were presold before roads had even been poured in the new community. Woodland Cove Site Plan

“People are already buying – sight unseen,” said Jones. “The location is absolutely phenomenal. In addition to great schools and proximity to GA 400, major draws to Woodland Cove include a number of terrific parks, concerts at Verizon Amphitheater, shopping at Northpoint Mall and The Collection at Forsyth, leisurely strolls through historic Roswell, a treasure trove of golf courses, recreational pursuits at Lake Lanier, and so much more. I love painting a picture for prospective home buyers of what this community is shaping up to become and taking a blueprint to help them see what their new home will look like. All of homes in Woodland Cove will be very grand. I’m really excited to be here – this is my niche AND my neighborhood. I live within 15 minutes of the community, so my buyers will become my neighbors.”

Homes in Woodland Cove will boast interiors that range from 3,200 to over 4,000 square feet. Main levels will feature 10 foot ceilings, loads of trim and luxury appointments, gourmet kitchens and more, while upper levels will showcase a sprawling master retreat, expansive secondary bedrooms and a media room. Exteriors will feature four-sides brick in a classic Southern design – most with rocking chair front porches.

“I am passionate about new construction from start to finish,” said Mandas. “I love watching new homes being built from the ground up to be sold to a family who will enjoy many happy years under that roof. Helping home buyers find their dream home is very satisfying and rewarding for me. The challenge will be in keeping up with demand. There’s really no other new construction in the area at this time. Woodland Cove has wonderful level wooded lots – home buyers still really want a private backyard – and the neighborhood will soon feature beautiful homes that boast top-notch materials, remarkable workmanship, a slew of terrific standard features, family-friendly floorplans, and great living spaces.”

Prospective home buyers and real estate agents in the North Fulton area who wish to schedule a tour of Woodland Cove are encouraged to call Sharon Jones at 678-882-8379 or Kim Mandas at 678-327-7221. For those who wish to visit the community, they can take GA 400 North to Exit 10 – Old Milton Parkway and turn right. Take a left onto Kimball Bridge Road, take a left onto Jones Bridge Road and take another left onto Douglas Road. Subdivision will be one mile ahead on the right. To learn more about this up-and-coming Acadia neighborhood, interested parties are invited to visit the Woodland Cove community page at www.acadiahomes.com.

Before the night had come to a close, Acadia had been awarded the Gold OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising and the Silver OBIE for Best Model Home/Sales Office. In addition, one of Acadia’s stellar Neighborhood Sales Managers – Wynn Frith – was named Rookie Salesperson of the Year.

Debuting as recently as 2010, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is a relative newcomer to the Atlanta housing market scene. Made up of a powerful blend of industry veterans, talented builders, customer-focused sales agents, and young visionaries, Acadia has rapidly gained favor among real estate professionals, home buyers and its peers. On the other end of the time spectrum, the OBIE Awards first made their debut in 1980. The OBIE Awards, named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, are the premier awards of Atlanta’s residential building industry. The event now features more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.

“We can look to our growth and sales performance to date and see that we’re doing something right, but it’s always wonderful to receive the praise of one’s peers,” said Gregg Goldenberg, President & CEO of Acadia Homes. “My entire team and I are delighted by each of these recognitions from the Sales & Marketing Council. We are very proud of our Model Homes at Riverbrooke and Liberty Crossing, have debuted a new concept in our Riverbrooke Sales Center that obviously resonates as something unique and positive, and are truly elated for Wynn for being named Rookie of the Year.”

No strangers to recognition for their work, the growing team at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has been honored with a Pacesetter Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the Fifth Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in Atlanta, a Customer Service Excellence Award from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, and a GuildMaster with Distinction Award from GuildQuality during the course of 2013.  They also won a Gold and four Silver OBIEs at the 32nd Annual OBIE Awards Gala in 2012, as well as a Gold and Silver in 2011.

As for this year’s recognitions, the model home at Liberty Crossing in Braselton was honored with the Master Bedroom - Liberty Crossing Model HomeGold OBIE for Best Interior Merchandising - Detached Model $299,999 and under. Featuring the work of Lawrenceville-based interior designer, Tracy Cook of Design Etc., the design places an emphasis on extravagant affordability thanks to a “less is more” approach. Whether a first-time buyer or down-sizing couple, the designer was sensitive to the fact that both targets still wish to evoke a sense of luxury in their home. As a result of that understanding, this design has broad appeal with the heavy use of neutral tones, natural elements, statement pieces and pleasing textures – creating a warm, welcoming feeling that is luxurious without forfeiting the comfort of guests or the family who lives there every day.

The sales office at Riverbrooke – an integral part of the community’s model home – won the Silver OBIE for Best Model Home/Sales Office. Thoughtfully crafted by Byron Summey of Summ Design, Riverbrooke sales center serves as a ground-breaking living storybook that invites guests to become part of the neighborhood’s legend as it unfolds. A prototype for all future sales centers in Acadia neighborhoods throughout Atlanta, the Riverbrooke sales center takes a cue from the Craftsman-style architecture around it and fills the space with information about the area, images of the homes and homesites available, and lifestyle photos of the happy people who are likely to live there.

Acadia's Wynn Frith - Rookie Salesperson of the Year - OBIE Awards 2013Last but certainly not least, Wynn Frith – Neighborhood Sales Manager for Sherwood Park in Smyrna – was recognized as the Rookie Salesperson of the Year. A former software salesperson with an MBA who recently spent ten years as a stay-at-home mom, Frith blazed back onto the sales scene last year with a stunning sales record of 29 gross homes with 27 net sales and a total revenue of $7.6 million. She was awarded Top Rung Awards from the Atlanta Sales & Marketing Council for most single family homes closed in the third and fourth quarters of 2012.

“Wynn truly deserves this recognition as ‘Rookie of the Year,” insisted Sam Bass, Acadia’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “Ever since she first joined our sales team in February 2012, Wynn has worked very hard to establish both herself and the Acadia brand among real estate professionals and home buyers. She always brings an incredible amount of exuberance and confidence to her work. Her genuine spirit and witty personality make the home buying experience fun for anyone purchasing an Acadia Home at Sherwood Park."

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Listed Among Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta

Acadia_logo_transparentGeorgia-Based Home Builder Lands at #10 on Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Prestigious List

Atlanta, September 19 – On August 9, the residential construction industry was the focal point of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s esteemed list of the “Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta.” After just three years in business, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods landed the #10 position in a compilation that included a number of companies that have been building in Atlanta since the 1960s and 1970s, as well as several that have a national presence. The secret to Acadia’s rapid rise could be attributed to its growing team of seasoned industry professionals, unswerving commitment to customer satisfaction, careful selection of building sites, and uncompromised talent for quality craftsmanship.

“On behalf of myself, my partners – Jon Roby and Thomas Olson, and the rest of the Acadia team, I’d like to thank the Atlanta Business Chronicle for recognizing our company with this outstanding distinction,” said Gregg Goldenberg, President & CEO for Acadia Homes. “When we first launched Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, we set out to become ‘A New Builder For A New Time’ – to take the lessons learned from the housing crash of 2008 and apply innovative thinking to help push our market towards a recovery. We envisioned a company that would be a leader in this industry through the provision of beautifully crafted homes and thoughtfully inspired communities throughout the Metro Atlanta area. As we join a list that includes a number of national companies and highly respected builders that have been in business for decades, it’s clear that our vision has become a reality.”

In the years since Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods broke ground on their first home in 2010, the home builder has been recognized with a number of Gold and Silver OBIE Awards from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, a Guildmaster with Distinction Award for Customer Satisfaction from GuildQuality, and – most recently – a Customer Service Excellence Award from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty®. Earlier this year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle also honored Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods with a Pacesetter Award as the fifth fastest growing privately held company in Atlanta.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Makes Its Much-Anticipated Debut in Gwinnett County with The River District

One of Atlanta’s Fastest Growing Private Companies Makes Its First Foray Into One of the South’s Historically Fastest Growing Counties with New Construction Luxury Homes Priced From the  High $500,000’s

River District Monument

Atlanta, August 8 – Claiming the number five spot of Atlanta’s 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies*, it only makes sense that new homebuilder and developer – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods – would break ground in one of Metro Atlanta’s counties that has also held the title of “fastest growing” on and off for the past two decades. The leadership team at Acadia Homes has had their eyes on Gwinnett County for some time, and is eager to show Gwinnetians what they can do in their newest community – The River District. In addition to Gwinnett, the Cobb County-based homebuilder is currently building in communities in Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, and Jackson Counties – stretching from Gainesville in the north metro area to Fairburn in the south.

“From the outset, it has been our mission to help lead Atlanta out of its historic housing crisis,” explains Acadia President and CEO, Gregg Goldenberg. “Ever since we first opened our doors in 2010, we have sought to achieve that by carefully selecting our staff of residential construction and sales veterans, painstakingly designing and building our homes, and thoroughly researching the areas in which we build. Our move to Gwinnett County is indicative of Acadia’s growing influence throughout Metro Atlanta. Historically, Gwinnett has served as a major draw for families because of its excellent schools, award-winning parks, charming town squares, and scenic landscapes. Add to that the fact that The River District is located in Berkeley Lake - a city that is community-centered and environmentally-focused. The lake for which it's named and surrounding forests are as much a part of its unique character as the people who live here. We are extremely happy to be a part of this community and believe it serves as a naturally stunning backdrop for our Signature Collection of homes.”

Offering an extraordinary balance of breathtaking scenery and graceful opulence, The River District is a gated community poised on the shores of the Chattahoochee River in the prestigious City of Berkeley Lake. Showcasing a limited number of distinctive homes from Acadia’s Signature Collection, The River District provides its residents with the height of exclusivity and privacy.  Resort-quality amenities in this enclave of semi-custom luxury homes include riverside pool, open air kitchen, sunset pavilion, outdoor hearth, and walkway to the Chattahoochee Nature Trail. River District residents are eligible for membership in the Berkeley Lakes Homeowners Association, which also affords them with access to beautiful Berkeley Lake, as well as its beach, picnic area, and playground. Representing River District onsite is 20+-year real estate professional and Acadia’s Signature Collection Sales Manager, Virginia Klodt.

“Reminiscent of the charm of old Charleston, the plans at The River District are a classic blend of sophistication and livability,” says Klodt. “Thoughtfully constructed with hands-on attention from the Vice President of Acadia Homes himself – Mr. Jon Roby – the first two homes at The River District both feature Master on Main with a second bedroom and full bath also located on the main level.  All plans boast spacious 3,500+ square footage that include 4 to 5 bedrooms with 3.5 baths and flexible options such as detached garages for a 3rd automobile, sunrooms, bonus rooms, dual master suites and more. Homeowners get to enjoy the seclusion of a pristine natural setting, as well as accessibility to I-285 and the Peachtree Parkway corridor for ease of commute and convenience to excellent shopping and dining options nearby.”

Students living in The River District attend well-revered Berkeley Lake Elementary, Duluth Middle and Duluth High Schools. For the past seven years, Duluth High School has been named among the top 1000 high schools in the country by Newsweek Magazine and six of its students have been recognized as Governor’s Honors Finalists. Families who prefer a private school education will appreciate the fact that Perimeter Christian School – Duluth and Notre Dame Academy are both located within two miles of the community. With so many lures to the area with regard to education, recreation, and beauty – both Klodt and Goldenberg anticipate a warm reception from the Gwinnett County homebuyer, particularly given the appeal of homes from the Signature Collection.

“The Signature Collection is a terrific fit for both this revival of the housing market and this particular area as it affords the discriminating homebuyer an opportunity to customize a sophisticated floor plan within the margins of an affordable budget,” says Klodt. “It bridges the void between the creativity of a true custom builder and the value of a volume builder. In addition to The River District, Acadia is also currently offering homes from its Signature Collection at The Overlook at Litchfield in Roswell and in the Heart of Dunwoody off Mt. Vernon Road.”

Tours of the community and homes in The River District are available by appointment only. To schedule a visit with Virginia Klodt, CSP, prospective homebuyers and real estate agents are encouraged to call 770-312-2661. For more information about The River District, the Signature Collection, and other Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ communities throughout the Metro Atlanta area, interested parties are invited to visit www.acadiahomes.com.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Expands Growing Fan Base to Atlanta’s South Side with Debut of Parks at Durham Lakes

Atlanta New Homebuilder and Developer Breaks Ground on First Homes in its Newest Community Priced From the $170,000’s in Fairburn

The Albany Floorplan from Acadia Homes Neighborhoods Capitol Collection

Atlanta, June 18 – As Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ first foray into Metro Atlanta’s rapidly growing south side, Parks at Durham Lakes symbolizes an exciting new chapter for one of the city’s leading homebuilders. Poised in the charming and historic City of Fairburn, Parks at Durham Lakes represents an alluring anthology of homes from Acadia’s Capitol Collection, affordably priced from the $170’s. Each flexible floorplan is thoughtfully designed with modern families in mind – offering plenty of room to grow with wide open living spaces and sprawling square footages, in addition to upscale options such as three-car garages and gourmet kitchens with islands.

“While Parks at Durham Lakes is not our first community in Fulton County, it is our first located south of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport,” explains Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ President & CEO, Gregg Goldenberg. “We are excited to expand our fan base of Atlanta homebuyers by broadening our reach in more of the Metro area’s most sought after suburbs and outlying communities. The City of Fairburn proves a terrific fit for Acadia and we are very happy to be there. It is home to a charming historic downtown district featuring buildings on the National Register for Historic Places, the renowned Georgia Renaissance Festival, a popular annual Fall Festival & Parade, and now Acadia’s newest community. The city’s slogan is ‘History Lives Here.’ Well, we hope to make a little history of our own by introducing an entirely new group of homebuyers to our quality crafted homes and superior levels of customer service.”

The provision of those superior levels of customer service will be the job of Parks at Durham Lakes’ Neighborhood Sales Managers, Harriett Huff and Charles Ricks. Huff is an Atlanta native and 10-year veteran of the real estate industry. She joined the Acadia sales team in 2011 and has served as Neighborhood Sales Manager at their Reece Farms community in Powder Springs – where she garnered the attention of the Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for excellence in sales, earning her Top Rung Awards for 1st and 2nd quarter 2012.

“Parks at Durham Lakes is truly a great place to call home,” says Huff. “It offers terrific amenities and an involved HOA. It proves a wonderful option for individuals, couples or families who want to live in a suburban community that offers easy access to the interstate and city. Parks is the ideal answer for homebuyers seeking a well-maintained and established community in which their family can feel safe and grow together. Beyond the community, I love the fact that Fairburn is a historic city – one that strives to keep up with the constant changes of the present, embraces the future, and honors its past.”

Teaming up with Huff, Charles Ricks has been with Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods for the last year and a half. After 13 years in the real estate industry, Ricks is passionate about his work and most enjoys seeing the look of joy on a homebuyers face when they are first handed the keys to their new home.
“The homes at Parks at Durham Lakes all feature floorplans from Acadia’s Capitol Collection,” says Ricks. “They provide extraordinary use of space, Acadia’s signature quality craftsmanship, and terrific standard features throughout. Homeowners who don’t wish to climb the stairs several times daily will appreciate our homes that feature the master bedroom on the main level. Growing families will love the fact that many of the available floorplans provide four and five bedrooms, and individuals, first time homebuyers, and down-sizing couples will value the floorplans that offer smaller square footage.”

Now pre-selling, this beautifully landscaped swim-tennis-clubhouse community is conveniently located just a short distance from Fairburn’s schools, parks, restaurants, shopping, and the highly revered Durham Lakes Country Club. Students living in Parks at Durham Lakes will attend E. C. West Elementary School, Bear Creek Middle School, and Creekside High School. Situated just 25 minutes south of Downtown Atlanta, the proximity of Parks at Durham Lakes to I-85 provides for a quick and easy commute for work or leisure in one of the South’s most vibrant cities. To get to Parks at Durham Lakes, prospective homebuyers can travel South on I-85 to Exit 61 – Highway 74/Fairburn/Peachtree City, then turn right off the exit and continue straight for 2 1/4 miles on Virlyn B. Smith Road. Drive past Durham Lakes Country Club and Parks at Durham Lakes will be on the left. To schedule a tour of the community, interested parties may call Neighborhood Sales Managers Harriet Huff and Charles Ricks at 404-909-0298.

Atlanta New Homebuilder and Developer Recognized by GuildQuality
with one of their Highest Honors for Service Excellence

Gfx-logo-guildmaster

Atlanta, May 29 – Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods strives to place more of an emphasis on the people it serves rather than solely on profits. This “customer comes first” mentality is visible at all ranks, from Acadia’s corporate headquarters in Cobb County to the sales centers at each of the new home builder’s communities throughout Metro Atlanta. To ensure that they are staying true to the course, Acadia has partnered with GuildQuality – a nationally recognized customer satisfaction surveying and performance reporting company for the residential construction industry. In January 2013, GuildQuality recognized Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods with an Atlanta Service Excellence Award; and earlier this month, GuildQuality announced that Acadia was being recognized among some of North America’s finest home builders, renovators, developers, property managers, home services contractors and real estate professionals with a Guildmaster with Distinction Award for customer satisfaction.

Each year, GuildQuality gives special recognition to companies that demonstrate an ability to deliver a consistently superior customer experience. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ customers responded favorably with 99 completed surveys over the course of 2012 and a 93% recommendation rating of Acadia’s services to prospective home buyers. The average recommendation rate for GuildQuality members is approximately 70%.

“We are truly honored to be recognized among such industry leaders as Saussy Burbank in the Carolinas and SummerHill Homes in California,” says Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods President and CEO, Gregg Goldenberg. “As proud as we are to add another feather to our customer service cap thanks to this Guildmaster with Distinction Award from GuildQuality, the true reward comes from reading the feedback about our customers’ experiences and knowing that at least 94% find excellent value in the products we provide to them. Reactions like that confirm that we are accomplishing what we set out to do and propel us to improve the customer service experience even further with a goal of achieving 100% satisfaction across the board. I’d like to thank GuildQuality for providing this forum to better understand our customers, as well as for this distinguished recognition. I’d also like to commend the entire Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ team for a job well done.”

After celebrating 51 closings on new homes in 2011, Acadia was delighted to triple that number with 153 closings in 2012. In keeping with the growth of the company’s inventory, sales, and reputation, so follows the expansion of the Acadia team. The Atlanta new homebuilder added 36 staff members in 2012, including sales agents, construction supervisors, executives, and marketing specialists. In Summer 2013, Acadia plans to cut the ribbon on their new offices and design center in Cobb County.

“To say we were pleasantly surprised by our position on this list of 2013 Pacesetters would be an understatement,” explains Goldenberg. “We are in the company of truly innovative local businesses that are dedicated to not only getting Atlanta’s economy back on track, but have set their sights on improving the national economy, as well. When we founded our company in 2010, Jon, Thomas and I hoped to remain true to our credo of being ‘A New Builder for a New Time.’ This award serves to validate that Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is achieving everything we set out to do – to help lead the recovery and breathe new life into Atlanta’s housing market. We are extremely thankful to the Atlanta Business Chronicle for this recognition and our inclusion in a terrific event.”

Acadia’s most recent successes are also reflected in the 2012 introductions of the Signature Collection featuring skillfully crafted semi-custom homes priced from the $500,000’s to $800,000’s in Atlanta’s most distinctive neighborhoods and the Capitol Collection showcasing affordable, quality construction homes priced from the mid $100,000’s to the $200,000’s in the region’s most sought after communities. Currently building in single family, active adult and townhome communities within Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, and Jackson Counties, thoughtfully-inspired and beautifully realized new homes by Acadia can be found in many of Metro Atlanta’s most appealing towns and cities.

Endeavoring to build a company as distinctive and lasting as the homes it constructs, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has aligned itself with trusted financial backers who put their faith in the knowledge, ability and reliability of Acadia’s leadership team. Confident that this up-and-coming homebuilder is here to stay, forward-thinking lenders and developers facilitated Acadia’s debut and subsequent growth in the marketplace. Through a bold blend of industry experience and avant-garde vision, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has carved out a very special niche in the Atlanta market. Goldenberg, Roby, Olson and Acadia’s team of dedicated architectural design, construction, marketing and real estate experts seek to inspire Atlanta families with exceptional homes of unsurpassed quality and value.

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Now Building in Top Two Communities in Jackson County

Atlanta New Home Builder and Developer’s Liberty Crossing and Bakers Farms Communities Top the Sales Charts in the North Georgia County Leading Into 2013

Atlanta – According to a recent report by SmartNumbers™ outlining Jackson County’s subdivision summary for sales that took place between January 1, 2012 and February 26, 2013, two Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods communities lead the pack. Liberty Crossing holds the top spot at 26% of the market share, followed not too far behind by Bakers Farm in second place at nearly 12% of the market share. With a number of terrific homesites remaining in both communities and plenty of room for future development at Bakers Farm, Atlanta-based Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is extraordinarily pleased to be building in the top two communities in Jackson County.

Bakers Farm and Liberty Crossing are both nestled in the growing North Georgia suburb of the Town of Braselton – moments from Braselton’s charming historic district, the ever-popular ice cream counter at Mayfield Dairy, Mulberry River Walk – a 60-acre park with 7.5 miles of walking trails along the Mulberry River, and Chateau Élan – a world-class resort and winery that echoes the style of a 16th century French chateau.  Their proximity to I-85 gives homeowners a straight shot to the Mall of Georgia and Downtown Atlanta to the South and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains to the North.

Showcasing 2-story single family floorplans from Acadia’s new Capitol Collection, homes in Liberty Crossing are attractively priced in the $150,000’s. Boasting 4 or 5 bedrooms, spacious interiors that range from 2,694 to 3,200 square feet, luxury touches such as interior doors with bead board trim and crown moulding, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and fully sodded yards with tree-lined streets, Liberty Crossing is a prime example of Acadia’s commitment to providing homes featuring quality craftsmanship in excellent locations at new market prices. Amenities in Acadia’s newest Jackson County community include an amenity center that features a pavilion for neighborhood gatherings, tennis courts, play area and swimming pool, in addition to lots of breathtaking greenspace and walking trails for their homeowners’ enjoyment. Liberty Crossing’s new model home is currently under construction, with an expected completion date of late March/early April.

With resort quality amenities and traditional homes priced in the mid-$200,000’s, Bakers Farm is Acadia’s nod to nostalgic Southern charm. The crown jewel of the community is a tin-roofed clubhouse with welcoming wrap-around porches that features a workout room, putting green, tennis courts and expansive pool deck and pool that begs for summertime fun. Established in 1916, a great amount of care is going into the historic Town of Braselton’s revitalization, and homes in Bakers Farm honor that vision with rocking chair front porches, brick and stone accents, large home sites, professionally realized landscape designs, and so much more. Home interiors are ideally executed for daily family life with spacious living spaces; sprawling master retreats; exquisitely appointed gourmet kitchens with maple cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances; and special touches throughout such as crown moulding, hardwood floors and oak stair treads. 1- and 2-story floorplans range in size from 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2386 to 3319 square feet.

“Needless to say, we are thrilled to be actively building in the top two communities in Jackson County,” said Gregg Goldenberg, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ President and CEO. “I would have to attribute the success of both Liberty Crossing and Bakers Farm to our careful selection of location, the quality of our construction, the uniqueness of our communities, and the excellent value we’re able to pass on to Atlanta homebuyers through our new market prices. And let’s not forget the tireless dedication and talent of our Neighborhood Sales Managers, Yvonne Hunt at Liberty Crossing and Burkhard Schaelicke at Bakers Farm. We are extremely proud of the role they played in helping our Braselton communities achieve their exciting standings as #1 and #2 in Jackson County. This achievement falls right in line with our mission to be one of Atlanta’s leading homebuilders.”

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Shows Support for Cobb County-Based SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center

SafePath Children's Advocacy Center LogoAtlanta New Home Builder and Developer Becomes a “Partner With a Purpose” Sponsor of Local Non-Profit Dedicated to Providing At-Risk Children with Hope, Safety and a Brighter Tomorrow

Whenever Atlanta homebuilder Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods pours the foundation on a new home or develops a new community, they can envision the families that will one day live there. The Acadia team is about more than delivering quality crafted homes and townhomes throughout Metro Atlanta, they also seek to provide local families with a beautiful backdrop for countless happy memories. Everyone from Acadia’s corporate staff to its builders and on-site agents can envision the birthday parties that will be celebrated inside their kitchens, the prom photos that will be snapped on their front porches, and bedtime stories that will be shared inside their bedrooms. The desire to provide the hope of happy memories is also the mission of Cobb County-based SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center. Continually endeavoring to be “A New Builder for A New Time,” Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is proud to be a sponsor of this local organization dedicated to providing at-risk children with “a window of hope to a brighter tomorrow.”

SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center, Inc. is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of children who have been abused. SafePath's mission is to reduce the trauma to children and their families by offering a comprehensive, professional, and child-friendly approach to the allegations of child abuse.   By bringing together a collaborative team of professionals from law enforcement, the district attorney's office, therapists, healthcare professions, DFACS, and other agencies, SafePath is able to provide unique services for at-risk children in the Cobb County community at a centralized location. This worthy and much-needed organization relies on the generosity and commitment of many foundations, corporations, individuals, grantors and community partners in order to make a difference in the lives of children and help to build a community free of child abuse.

“We are honored to serve as a SafePath ‘Partner with a Purpose’,” explains Gregg Goldenberg, Acadia Homes & Neighborhood’s President & CEO. “It’s a very special non-profit organization that focuses on the needs of abused children in Cobb County, where our corporate office and four of our communities are based. Many of the members of our staff are parents, so the purpose of and overwhelming need for this particular charity really resonates throughout our company. As a SafePath ‘Partner with a Purpose,’ Acadia can show our support for SafePath and the terrific work they are doing, while giving back to the community in a meaningful way. What better way to do that than through the children?”

Thanks to sponsorships from companies like Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, SafePath is able to provide the necessary services to child abuse victims and their families at no cost.  In addition to grants from foundations and donations from individuals, corporations and community partners, SafePath plays host to two special events to raise funds and awareness to support their commendable cause. On Saturday March 9, 2013, SafePath will host the 12th Annual “Hearing Children’s Voices” Gala at the Cobb Galleria Centre featuring a Dinner and Auction with 11 Alive News’ Ted Hall as the Master of Ceremonies and Nickolas Smith as the “Hearing Children’s Voices” Award Recipient. On Thursday, August 22, 2013, SafePath will host “Good Eatin’ Great Cause” – where 30 of the top chefs in Metro Atlanta will come together to prepare tapas-inspired dishes while serving up a great time!  This popular event also features a cook-off competition with the local police and fire departments.  Members of the Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods team will be in attendance at both events along with other corporate sponsors and caring individuals.

"SafePath recognizes that child abuse is a community problem,” says Jinger Robins, Executive Director of SafePath. “No single agency, individual, or discipline has the necessary knowledge, skills or resources to provide the assistance needed by abused children.  Individually, we can make small strides towards making a difference, but the support of corporations through sponsorships and donations helps to make giant leaps towards creating a community free of child abuse."

To purchase tickets to the “Hearing Children’s Voices” Gala and “Good Eatin’ Great Cause” Event, become a corporate sponsor, make a donation or learn more about SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center, Inc., please visit their website at www.safepath.org.
