Atlanta, GA – On Friday, January 26, supporters of HomeAid Atlanta and Jesus Set the Captive Free (JSCF) celebrated the completion of a HomeAid Care Project, a triplex renovation on Dill Avenue in southwest Atlanta, with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.

HomeAid Care Projects are small renovation projects that provide big savings for organizations offering services and support to Atlanta’s homeless population. Volunteer Builder Captain James MacDowell of Unique Homes & Renovations led the renovation of the Dill Avenue triplex, which will now serve as a transitional living facility for formerly incarcerated homeless men as they work rebuild their lives.  The building will also house a food pantry and clothing closet for the transitional homes operated by JSCF. The HomeAid project provided a total savings of more than $13,000 for JSCF, whose mission is to empower homeless and previously incarcerated men, including veterans, with education, emotional, and faith-based support.

In addition to project oversight and the hands-on work and donations of James MacDowell and his crew, many volunteers and donors provided support.
