Homebuyers Work with Windsong to Refine the Design of a New Active Adult Plan
The Foster is a carefully-crafted home plan with a spacious loft at Heron Pond
ATLANTA – Heron Pond is an exquisite community offering the best in low maintenance living for today’s active adult. With five initial plans offered and none of them meeting the needs of Bob Rittle and Doreen Marshall, Windsong asked the couple to participate in refining the design of a new plan on the boards. Intrigued and excited to live at Heron Pond, Bob and Doreen began working with the Windsong team to bring this new plan to life.
“I initially liked the Buckley plan, but needed more private space for my office – upstairs preferably. I run an investment management company and need to be able to close out the world, focus and even work at 3 a.m. when the European market opens,” explained Bob. The Foster, with its larger loft area for Bob’s private workspace, was the perfect plan for the couple.
“I really enjoyed how responsive and proactive the Windsong team was as we worked together to craft a home that really suits our needs,” said Bob. “On several occasions, I would ask the building team for their input and they always offered thoughtful suggestions. The whole building team was just a delight to work with.”
The Foster plan boasts a spacious upstairs loft, a private space great for visiting grandkids or a private suite for a roommate or live-in assistant. With built-in accessibility features like step-less entry on the main level, lever handles and wider door and hall ways, this home has the best of both worlds. The mail level features a spacious owner’s suite, a study (or additional bedroom), two baths, an open living area with designer kitchen and island and easy access to a private courtyard retreat, great for entertaining outdoors. The loft features a bedroom, bathroom, additional storage and a bonus room.
The versatile Foster plan is thoughtfully designed for smart space planning. Starting at $349,000 and with only six home sites remaining for this plan, you’ll need to act now before they are all gone! A decorated Foster model home is scheduled to open soon.
Bob and Doreen moved to Heron Pond to be closer to Doreen’s granddaughters who attend
Kennesaw State University; they also wanted to be near the hiking opportunities in the North Georgia Mountains. “We enjoy exploring what God has created and getting out into nature,” said Doreen. “Heron Pond felt different because it seemed to truly be for ‘active’ adults. We enjoy that we can lock up and leave for an adventure at the drop of a hat!”
Bob and Doreen have made wonderful new friends who share their love of travel. Now, they are able to enjoy more of it due to the easier lifestyle at Heron Pond. For more information on living Where Life’s A Breeze, visit www.windsonglife.com.
