The Business of Filmmaking: A Workshop for Newbies- Minutes from your new home at Canoe Club

When selecting a location for your new home you will ask yourself many questions.  One of the most important is does the area support its residents with community offerings such as classes to better their lives? The Fayetteville area certainly does and here is a great opportunity!

The Business of Filmmaking: A Workshop for Newbies will be held at Clayton State University minutes from The Canoe Club in Fayetteville.   Around Metro Atlanta and throughout the state, film and television production is booming.  If you want to learn more about the biz and how it works, this workshop is for you! Join Lorna Wilson, 15-year industry veteran and former director of operations of Rainforest Films, as she breaksdown the basic components of the film business and shares her experience of working behind-the-scenes.  In her position at Rainforest and through freelance work, Lorna has been connected to successful films such as OBSESSED, TAKERS, THINK LIKE A MAN, and RIDE ALONG. Take this class to get a better understanding of how the industry is structured, an idea of the kinds of business and career opportunities that exist, and an inside scoop to help you decide if you want to get in the game (or not). Through the Small Business Development Center and Clayton State University.  Cost is $99.00, lunch included. Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Clayton State University, College of Business, Room T-152
