On Friday, February 8, Atlanta Mission will unveil HomeAid Atlanta's kitchen renovation at Atlanta Mission's Fuqua Hall. The Atlanta Mission is a transitional home that serves men on their way to self-sufficiency. While the home has a cafeteria, the men did not have a range in the kitchen for cooking lessons or to cook their own meals if necessary. This HomeAid project provided the kitchen with its first range, along with new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, ventilation, and a fire suppression system for the range hood. In addition, new appliances were installed, including a dishwasher, garbage disposal, commercial refrigerators, and freezers.
This HomeAid project was led by Carl Riden of Redmont Homes and Dan Mattox of Builders II. Atlanta Mission's Ivan Rouse and Rev. Bob Vann were instrumental in this partnership to complete the kitchen. HomeAid Atlanta thanks the project donors as well.
Leaders from the Atlanta Mission and HomeAid Atlanta will be available for Q&A. Members of the media are asked to RSVP.
