HomeAid Care Day at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries

FOX Sports South and FOX International transform grounds at men’s shelter

Rsz_fox_groupOn Wednesday, June 6, HomeAid Atlanta partnered with FOX Sports South and FOX International for a HomeAid Care Day at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries (Clifton). The Care Day was part of 21st Century Fox Impact Week, a global initiative that gives its employees the opportunity to serve others while shining a light on local organizations that serve the community at large.

Clifton provides short-term emergency shelter and transitional housing for homeless men aged 35+ who seek self-sufficiency and independent living. Additionally, Clifton provides life-changing programs that include financial counseling and job and life skills training. HomeAid Atlanta is currently in the final phase of a renovation project at Clifton, led by volunteer Builder Captain Pat Morgan of First Street Builders, to remodel and repair both their emergency and transitional housing facilities.

The team of 30 FOX Sports South and FOX International volunteers completed a major landscaping overhaul, resulting in a total transformation of the grounds. This hardworking group completed several greatly-needed tasks, including clearing overgrowth, cutting back plants, weeding, painting picnic tables, mulching, and mowing the expansive lawn.

The work completed provided a savings of more than $6,000 for Clifton.  In addition, Budget Dumpster generously donated two large dumpsters for landscaping debris, and both were filled beyond capacity by the end of the day.

“It was a wonderful day, and seeing the overall transformation of the property was inspiring,” said Stephanie Isenberg, FOX Sports South Marketing Manager. “We hope we made their house feel more like a home for the Clifton residents.”

Leslie Prince, Clifton Board President said, “There is no way we can adequately say thank you to HomeAid, FOX Sports South and FOX International for all of their efforts to make Care Day happen.  The property looks absolutely magnificent; we are so proud and I know our neighbors are thrilled.”

Traditions of Braselton Unveils $1.3M Renovation to Resort-Inspired Amenities

Master-Planned Community in Northeast Georgia Debuts Reimagined Clubhouse, Resurfaced Pool Deck and New Spectator Pavilions Between Six Lighted Tennis Courts

Rsz_the_newly_renovated_owners_clubhouse_at_traditions_of_braselton_-_june_2018_-_kevinmcnairphotographyJefferson, Ga., June 15, 2018 – Traditions of Braselton – where “Luxury Living in a Country Club Setting” is not just a tagline, it’s a state of mind – announced today that it has raised the curtain on its newly renovated, resort-inspired amenities. Included among them are a reimagined Owners’ Clubhouse, resurfaced pool deck surrounding a Junior Olympic-sized Pool with splash zone and waterslide, three newly constructed tennis pavilions with covered stadium seating for spectators between the community’s six lighted tennis courts and the addition of a pickle ball court. The final price tag for this renovation was $1.3 million.

“We’ve raised the bar on relaxation and recreation for our current and future homeowners,” said Lesa Ness, Marketing Manager for Traditions of Braselton Realty. “At the heart of it all, the Owner’s Clubhouse just received a facelift to comprise an expansion of the event area – which includes a full kitchen, 75” flat screen TV, seating and tables and is available for community events and to rent by our residents, as well as a 24-hour accessible fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, and the addition of a fitness room that hosts a regular rotation of yoga, kickboxing and aerobic classes. A new meeting space was also incorporated, and the bathrooms with showers have also been remodeled. The deck around our Junior Olympic-sized pool has been completely resurfaced, and – because we have a very active ALTA league in the community – the spectator stands between the courts are going to be a huge hit for tennis fans. We’re also introducing a pickle ball court to add to the fun. I’m thrilled to say that our event calendar is filling up nicely with a lot of family-friendly fun planned for the adjacent Festival Lawn. It’s promising to be a very exciting summer! The response from homeowners and their guests to all of the changes has been overwhelmingly positive.”

In addition to the recent Amenities Renovation, plans are underway for an upscale overhaul of Traditions of Braselton’s Golf Clubhouse – which features a bar, restaurant and pro shop. Managed by ClubCorp – which owns more than 40 golf properties in Georgia and over 200 courses nationwide, the upcoming major renovation is designed to create a club experience that’s better than ever. The golf course at Hamilton Mill in Dacula is a sister property to Traditions of Braselton, and a golf club membership includes access to both courses and clubhouses. Traditions of Braselton residents who don’t play golf can still enjoy a social membership at the club, which serves breakfast and dinner on select days and lunch daily – except on Tuesdays when the club and course are closed. The club also plays host to events like Trivia Nights on a regular basis. Traditions of Braselton Tees Up to Host Charity Classic in June

Rsz_traditions-of-braselton-golf-club-monument-sign-june-2018-kevinmcnairphotographyThree-Day Event to Include VIP Dinner, Pool Party, Tennis Tournament and Golf Tournament at Master-Planned Community in Northeast Georgia on June 22-24

Jefferson, Ga., June 14, 2018 – Traditions of Braselton – a sprawling 1140-acre master-planned community in Northeast Georgia – is getting ready to host its 4th Annual Charity Classic. Comprised of a VIP Dinner and Auction at the Golf Clubhouse on June 22, Golf Tournament at Traditions’ 18-hole golf course on June 23 and Round Robin Tennis Tournament and Pool Party on June 24, the Charity Classic is one of the highlights of the summer season at Traditions of Braselton.

Sponsored by Farmers Insurance, the Traditions Charity Classic Golf Tournament is designed to benefit local and national charities. Proceeds from this year’s event will support the efforts of iServe Ministries, Augie's Quest, and the ClubCorp Employee Partner Care Foundation. iServe is a Jefferson-based ministry created to help local churches get involved in meeting the needs of their communities. Their initiatives include stuffing “Bags of Love” – which are backpacks filled with food supplies for local families in need, and provision of a twice monthly Mobile Food Bank – to bring much-needed supplies to food insecure families in Jackson County. Augie’s Quest is a national nonprofit dedicated to finding treatments and cures for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) – a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. There are, on average, 15 people diagnosed with ALS every day, and roughly 30,000 people in America are currently living with this condition. Most people with ALS live two to five years after their first signs of disease, and only about 10% of people with ALS survive at least 10 years. Augie’s Quest is seeking to change those statistics. Lastly, ClubCorp Employee Partner Care Foundation – the charitable arm of the company that manages the course and club at Traditions of Braselton and over 200 other courses throughout the nation – is designed to provide financial aid to ClubCorp employees and their families in times of crisis.

The VIP Dinner plus live and silent auctions on Friday evening will include a carving station, vegetable medley, mashed potatoes, salad and desserts. Live music will add to the festivities. Auction items up for bid include a week at a villa in Tuscany, a condo in Antigua or a home in the Florida Keys, among other enticing prospects. On Saturday morning, a helicopter ball drop kicks off the tournament – participants can purchase one or more golf balls to be dropped by helicopter on the #1 fairway. The owner of the lucky ball that lands closest to the pin wins half of the proceeds from the contest – the other half goes to the three charities benefitting from the Charity Classic. The contest also involves a raffle for one participant to ride in the helicopter during the ball drop. The format of the golf tournament to follow is a 2-person team scramble with 9-hole draw featuring men’s, women’s and co-ed prizes. If a player scores a hole-in-one on the designated hole during the tournament, he or she will win a brand-new Ford vehicle courtesy of Billy Cain Ford in Commerce. On Sunday, Traditions of Braselton Realty will sponsor a Pool Party at the community’s junior Olympic-sized pool with waterslide, which is open that day to both residents and prospective homebuyers. The day’s events will also feature a Round Robin Tennis Tournament at the community’s six lighted tennis courts, which now boast newly constructed covered spectator pavilions.

Participation in the Traditions of Braselton Charity Classic is open to the public. Cost to attend the VIP Dinner and Auctions is $25/person. Registration for the Charity Classic Golf Tournament is $100/player – which includes the round of golf on Saturday, as well as dinner on Friday night. Golfers who wish to participate in the Golf Tournament are welcome to register at http://classic.als.net. HomeAid Assists Wilderness Works City Camp

Small renovation at inner-city camp makes big impact for at-risk girls

Before_and_After_25HomeAid Atlanta has completed a Care Project for Wilderness Works, which provides year-round enrichment, experiential education, and character development programs for at-risk inner-city children including opportunities to enjoy time away at camp.  HomeAid volunteer Builder Captain Steven Sanders-Meyers led the much-needed small renovation project at Wilderness Works City Camp.  The City Camp program operates in a historic church on Memorial Drive in Atlanta, and roof leaks prevented expansion of space for additional participation in the overnight camp.

Sanders-Myers previously worked with HomeAid Atlanta at a Care Day, HomeAid’s “done-in-a-day” volunteer-powered workdays, with his company Brightwater Homes. He sought HomeAid’s assistance in finding a larger project to tackle with a group of fellow construction professionals from his church, Resonate Church Atlanta. The crew made quick work of repairing and expanding two girls’ bunkrooms, tearing down walls and connecting them to space that was previously unusable due to roof leaks. Once repairs were made, thanks in part to materials donated by Carolina Lumber and Strathmore Floors, the crew assembled additional bunk beds, adding space for eight more girls to participate in City Camp.

The Care Project was completed over the course of six Saturdays in April and May, and saved Wilderness Works approximately 80% on construction costs.

“HomeAid is fortunate to have such amazing donors and volunteers who are always looking for new opportunities to do more to build new lives,” said HomeAid Executive Director, Mandy Crater. “We truly appreciate the generous donations from Carolina Lumber and Strathmore Floors, and Steven’s willingness to provide his expert skills and leadership free of charge for this important project.  Because of his and his team’s hard work, eight more at-risk girls will be able to participate in City Camp this summer.”

Model Home at Kennesaw's Chestnut Farms Now Open to the Public

Paran Homes Unveils Professionally Decorated Model Home to Represent Its Stunning Collection of New Construction Homes Priced from the $400’s

Rsz_chestnut_farms_model_home_-_paran_homes_-_family_room_-_may_2018Duluth, Ga, May 18, 2018 –  Serving as a “slice of life” for visitors to Chestnut Farms in Kennesaw, the professionally merchandised model home at the West Cobb community is now open to the public. Merchandised by Tracy Cook of Design Etc., the home represents one of the builder’s most popular floor plans – the stately and sophisticated Manchester, showcasing over 3,600 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms at the heart of the Kennesaw neighborhood.

“Our model homes set the stage for homebuyers,” said Paran Homes’ President, Michael Rosenberg. “As they step through the front door and travel through each room, we want them to have an immersive experience where they can envision their family gathering around the dining room table for the holidays or sharing stories about the day’s events around the massive island in the kitchen. When they see the upstairs media space, we want them to imagine their kids happily playing there or knocking out their homework before dinnertime. And when they stroll through the expansive master suite, it’s our hope that they can see themselves beginning and ending each day in that space as part of their own personal ‘happily ever after.’ Tracy has done an amazing job painting a picture of what life might be like if one lived in Chestnut Farms.”

The designer drew inspiration from the home itself when planning her design, which features elements of white on white and soft hues juxtaposed against dark wood floors, textured upholstery and dramatic accent pieces. Seeking a “less is more” approach, she endeavored to make the design as functional as it is fetching with a homework station in the media room and a drop station near the garage for family members to drop their book bags, laptop bags and purses while charging their smartphones for the next day.

“There is a lot of natural light in this home – it’s an inviting, happy place,” recalled Cook. “I wanted to keep the look fresh, clean and uncluttered. We all have so much clutter in our daily lives. This home represents the ideal we all want for our own lives – a clutter-free, tranquil, joyful space to raise a family.”

Cook describes the design as vintage meets modern with distressed wood pieces, antique elements and thoroughly current upholstered furnishings. Some of her personal favorites include the stylish dining room, home office with partners desk and reclaimed shutter as an eye-catching wall accent, and serene master suite.

“I love all of Paran Homes’ special unexpected, practical touches, like the soft-close drawers in the kitchen, abundance of storage spaces throughout, generously sized bedrooms, upstairs laundry room that’s accessible from the master closet and spacious covered back porch with fireplace. My absolute favorite element of this home is the must-see oversized shower in the master bath. It’s like everyday is a spa day!”

The Manchester is just one of seven floor plans available at Chestnut Farms – which represents a collection of 36 new construction homes priced from the low $400’s. Conveniently located near I-75, Chestnut Farms’ residents will enjoy convenience to a wealth of recreational outlets like Lake Allatoona and Kennesaw Mountain, upscale shopping destinations such as The Avenue West Cobb and Town Center Mall, and a number of highly revered schools. Homeowners in the Kennesaw community also enjoy the Main Street charm of its historic downtown area, low Cobb County taxes and close proximity to SunTrust Park – the new home of the Atlanta Braves. There’s also the promise of countless family-friendly events hosted at the iconic Marietta Square, Downtown Kennesaw and Downtown Acworth.

In addition to Chestnut Farms and its two other West Cobb communities at Silver Springs Village and Sweetwater Landing, Paran Homes has a presence in another seven new home communities throughout the Atlanta area. HomeAid Care Day at Direction House

Volunteers make major improvements at home for homeless veterans

HomeAid Care Day Direction HouseOn April 20, HomeAid Atlanta partnered with the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia’s (MBAG) Atlanta Chapter for a HomeAid Care Day.  HomeAid Care Days are “done in a day” workdays providing free-of-charge maintenance and repairs for nonprofit organizations serving people experiencing homelessness in Atlanta.

Direction House is a transitional housing program for male veterans as they work to overcome addiction issues. Founded by Graylin Covington, a veteran who received help from HomeAid Service Provider partner, Clifton Sanctuary Ministries, years ago. Direction House provides housing and guidance for up to 10 men as they work to rebuild their lives.

Volunteers completed much needed landscaping and gardening tasks at Direction House, including building and planting two raised garden beds, clearing out overgrown bamboo, rebuilding a broken fence, removing a tree stump, planting two flower gardens, and general clean-up.  The workday generated a savings of approximately $4,500 for Direction House, funds that will be used to help meet the immediate needs of the residents.  Home builders Vincent Longo of Vincent Longo Custom Builders and James MacDowell of Unique Homes and Renovations volunteered, providing leadership throughout the day.  Ross Davies of Super-Sod provided gardening expertise, including selecting patriotic-themed flowers and plants in honor of the veterans at Direction House.  BMC provided a discount on lumber for the garden beds.

"I enjoyed and appreciate the work performed at the HomeAid Care Day at Direction House.  The guests at the house are excited about the flowers and they are anxiously waiting for the garden to produce.  I certainly appreciate all that you do," said Graylin Covington, Founder and Director of Direction House.

This was HomeAid’s second Care Day with MBAG. Following this Care Day, Alexandra Radford, MBAG Atlanta Chapter Director said, "I love being a part of HomeAid Care Days. I love physically working on projects and knowing I’m really making a difference in the lives of homeless veterans.”

HomeAid Atlanta, founded in 2001, is a nonprofit organization that builds new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. HomeAid works in partnership with the building industry, as well as community building organizations, to assist people experiencing homelessness. Paran Homes Welcomes Spring 2018 With New Pre-Construction Culture

Southeast Homebuilder Believes that Communication is the Key to Its Success for the Remainder of 2018 and Beyond

Paranhomes_extends_living_spaces_outdoors_with_spacious_decks_for_entertaining_and_relaxing_-_paran_homesDuluth, Ga, April 18, 2018 –  Benjamin Franklin perhaps said it best… “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”  With eyes firmly set on success, Metro Atlanta-based regional home builder – Paran Homes – is instituting a culture that is geared toward preparation and pre-planning… even if that means adding an extra step. In an industry filled with production builders that hit the ground running on multiple projects with the assumption that their sub-contractors know what they’re doing, Paran Homes is taking a little inspiration from the season associated with transformation and growth. As Spring 2018 continues to take shape all around the world, a new pre-construction culture will take shape at Paran Homes.

“When we launch a new community or unveil a new floor plan, the leadership team at Paran Homes always has a clear vision of what that neighborhood or home will look like upon completion and the ambiance it will convey for years to come,” said Josh Paterson, VP of Construction for Paran Homes. “We understand the steps needed to make that vision a reality. By instituting a pre-construction culture and bringing more players into the fold prior to construction, we’ll be ensuring that everyone is on board with that vision, have a clearer understanding of any obstacles to that vision, and possibly share ideas that could make that vision even better. Our Sales and Construction team members then outline the entire process to our buyers. They also review specific home plans for their lot, as well as all personalized design center selections in order to eliminate any errors, ultimately giving our home buyers peace of mind.”

Other advantages to pre-construction meetings at Paran Homes include:

  • Providing a forum for team members to ask any questions they may have about the new community or floor plan
  • Encouraging the team to set performance goals and consider best methods to achieve those goals
  • Setting a timeline and holding all parties accountable for adhering to that timeline
  • Outlining any required city, county and state forms and documents
  • Establishing a clear, more formal starting point
  • Best of all, minimizing the frequency of “mistakes” due to miscommunication and – as a result – keeping construction costs in line

Paterson adds, “We’re convinced that the incorporation of pre-construction meetings to our process is not just the right thing to do for our company, it’s also the right thing to do for our prospective home owners. In the end, the results will be a stronger team, a streamlined construction process and – ultimately – a collection of imaginative new home communities filled with beautifully crafted, quality constructed houses by Paran Homes.”

HomeAid Care Day at Solomon's Temple

HomeAid holds first Care Day of 2018 in southwest Atlanta

Rsz_homeaid_volunteers_at_solomons_templeOn March 23, HomeAid Atlanta held its first Care Day of 2018 at Solomon’s Temple in southwest Atlanta.  HomeAid Care Days are “done in a day” workdays providing free-of-charge maintenance and repairs for nonprofit organizations serving people experiencing homelessness in Atlanta.  Solomon’s Temple provides housing to single women and women with children as they strive to rebuild their lives.

Volunteers from Engel & Völkers Buckhead Atlanta, Kennesaw State University National Association of Home Builders Student Chapter, and Georgia Gwinnett College worked hard to complete much needed landscaping and gardening tasks. The groups transformed the grounds by clearing and replanting several garden beds, and re-mulching the playground and picnic areas.  Soon the residents at Solomon’s Temple will have fresh tomatoes, peppers, herbs and more from their very own garden.  The workday generated a savings of approximately $3,000 for Solomon’s Temple, funds that will be used to help meet the immediate needs of the women and children they serve.  Engel & Völkers Buckhead Atlanta provided financial support for the project, and Ross Davies of Super-Sod provided expert knowledge and planning assistance.

This was HomeAid’s third Care Day with Solomon’s Temple since 2015.  Following this Care Day, Kecia Baker, Solomon’s Temple Director of Programs and Facilities remarked, “It truly takes a village to make the world go ‘round and HomeAid has been our village! We've accomplished so much with the help of HomeAid and their good volunteers’ hard work. We are so grateful!”

Solomon’s Temple Executive Director Patricia Smith added, “HomeAid Atlanta makes us happy! We always know that when Jean Hilyard (HomeAid Atlanta Director of Community Engagement) shows up, we will be taken care of! HomeAid volunteers are well prepped and enthusiastic about accomplishing the goal.”

Paran Homes Raises the Curtain on Sweetwater Landing Model Home

Regional Homebuilder Debuts Professionally Decorated Model Home at Newest West Cobb Community

Rsz_the_kitchen_at_sweetwater_landings_new_model_home_by_paran_homes_lo_res_-_march_2018Duluth, Ga, March 30, 2018 – After witnessing highly favorable responses from homebuyers to its West Cobb communities at Thomason Park and Silver Springs Village in the City of Powder Springs, Paran Homes added a third community to the mix with Sweetwater Landing in late 2017. Now selling single-family, Craftsman-inspired homes priced from the mid $200,000’s, Sweetwater Landing has recently debuted its new model home to the public. Professionally merchandised by interior designer, Joy Kirkland of Innovative Interiors, the home showcases the three-story Piedmont floor plan – one of fifteen floor plans available at Sweetwater Landing.

“While Sweetwater Landing proves appealing to a wide variety of homebuyers, I used the ‘growing active family’ as my inspiration for the design of this community’s model home,” explained Kirkland. “The Piedmont floor plan is ideal for engaging family members, whether enjoying dinner in the large gourmet kitchen or playing games and watching movies together in the media room. I highlighted all of the secondary bedrooms with warm paint colors, creating a cozy space for children to relax and enjoy being home. Of course, my favorite space I’ve created for this home is the master bedroom. I wanted to keep the room soft and ethereal, making this a luxurious retreat for the homeowners. I love the classic pieces and scale of the room.”

In addition to serving as design inspiration for visitors, the model home features 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, game room, media room, spacious kitchen, sprawling owners’ suite and all the bells and whistles. Intended to give homebuyers a sense of what life could be like at Sweetwater Landing, the model home is just one example of more than a dozen available floor plans, which offer a blend of 1-to-3-story homes featuring 3-to-6-bedrooms, front or rear-entry garages and upscale interior finishes that include coffered ceilings, wainscoting, hardwood floors, gourmet kitchens and more.

“While our new, beautifully merchandised model home certainly enhances the sense of welcome and appeal at Sweetwater Landing, this community already offers its fair share of attraction for Atlanta homebuyers thanks to a great amenity package, low Cobb County taxes and a terrific location,” said Michael Rosenberg, President of Paran Homes. “Not only is the community located within walking distance of Powder Springs charming downtown area and the ballfields, playgrounds, picnic areas and swimming pool of Powder Springs Park, Sweetwater Landing is located a short drive from many of Atlanta’s most popular destinations. Sweetwater Landing residents can enjoy making regular excursions to Downtown Atlanta, braving the rollercoasters at Six Flags Over Georgia, hiking Kennesaw Mountain and catching an Atlanta Braves game at SunTrust Park.”

To get to Sweetwater Landing from Atlanta, take I-20 West to GA-6W/Thornton Rd-Exit 44 and follow it for 8.7 miles. The community will be ahead on the right. For GPS users, the address is 4686 Sweetwater Avenue in Powder Springs. Gwinnett's Vision of 'Success Lives Here' Thrives at Heritage Pointe

Paran Homes’ Newest Gwinnett County Community is at the Heart of Lawrenceville’s Employment Center

Rsz_2the_crestwood_by_paran_homes_-_one_of_five_floor_plans_available_at_heritage_pointe_in_lawrenceville_1Duluth, Ga, March 20, 2018  –  The tagline “Success Lives Here” was once emblazoned on a water tower that welcomed visitors and regular commuters to Gwinnett County for nearly 40 years. While the water tower no longer exists, the vision remains the same – if not more vibrant than ever. With a highly engaged county government and forward-thinking organizations like the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and Partnership Gwinnett making that tagline a reality by promoting Gwinnett County as the premier destination for people to live, work and play, builders like Paran Homes hope to share in that vision by building homes where people drawn to the area can live. To that end, the Southeast regional home builder recently debuted Heritage Pointe, a new home community in the heart of Lawrenceville.

Situated near Highway 316 and Buford Drive, Heritage Pointe is convenient to a variety of higher education institutions like University of Georgia’s Gwinnett Campus, Georgia Gwinnett College and Gwinnett Technical College, as well as a number of major employers such as Gwinnett Medical Center, Primerica, Mitsubishi Electric, Ricoh Electronics and two Fortune 500 companies - AGCO and Asbury Automotive, among others. To help foster the workforce of the next generation, students living in Heritage Pointe will be afforded access to the highly revered Gwinnett County Public School System – including Dyer Elementary, Twin Rivers Middle and Mountainview High Schools.

“With jobs ranking high on the list of reasons why people move to an area, Gwinnett County has been a major focal point for Paran Homes,” said Paran Homes’ President, Michael Rosenberg. “After all, our own headquarters are located here – so we understand the draw. We’ve already witnessed a great deal of success at Wheatfields Reserve in Grayson and Villas at Park Place in Stone Mountain, and we’re eager for Atlanta homebuyers to discover Heritage Pointe in Lawrenceville. In addition to being in the heart of a major employment center outside the perimeter – representing the ‘work’ part of the equation, the community offers convenience to the ‘play’ part of the equation, as well. Residents can shop and dine their way around the sprawling Mall of Georgia area, fly a jet out of Gwinnett County Airport, see a show at the Aurora Theatre in historic Downtown Lawrenceville, watch a baseball game at Coolray Field, catch a concert at Infinite Energy Arena, explore a number of Gwinnett’s award-winning parks… the list goes on and on. And when they’re ready to make the drive south to Downtown Atlanta, Heritage Pointe homeowners will benefit from proximity to I-85. Paran Homes rounds out the ‘live’ element of Gwinnett’s overarching ‘live, work, play’ vision with a collection of beautiful homes boasting a starting price of $285,990.”

Showcasing five stunning floor plans and a variety of elegant elevations from which to choose, homes in Heritage Pointe are now pre-selling. To select a homesite and launch construction on the floor plan of their choosing, prospective homebuyers are encouraged to visit the Heritage Pointe sales center, located at 900 Progress Drive in Lawrenceville. In addition to Heritage Pointe, Paran Homes has a presence throughout the Atlanta area in 10 new home communities stretching all the way from Jefferson to the North and Powder Springs to the West. Beyond Georgia, Paran Homes also offers communities in Tennessee and North Carolina. HomeAid Builds New Lives in Southwest Atlanta

Renovation provides a place for homeless men to rebuild their lives.

Atlanta, GA – On Friday, January 26, supporters of HomeAid Atlanta and Jesus Set the Captive Free (JSCF) celebrated the completion of a HomeAid Care Project, a triplex renovation on Dill Avenue in southwest Atlanta, with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.

HomeAid Care Projects are small renovation projects that provide big savings for organizations offering services and support to Atlanta’s homeless population. Volunteer Builder Captain James MacDowell of Unique Homes & Renovations led the renovation of the Dill Avenue triplex, which will now serve as a transitional living facility for formerly incarcerated homeless men as they work rebuild their lives.  The building will also house a food pantry and clothing closet for the transitional homes operated by JSCF. The HomeAid project provided a total savings of more than $13,000 for JSCF, whose mission is to empower homeless and previously incarcerated men, including veterans, with education, emotional, and faith-based support.

In addition to project oversight and the hands-on work and donations of James MacDowell and his crew, many volunteers and donors provided support. On December 11, 2017, HomeAid Atlanta welcomed volunteers from the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) for a HomeAid Care Day at the Dill Avenue triplex. Volunteers cleaned the units, completed final painting tasks, and hung blinds in preparation for welcoming the home’s new residents. MBAG’s Care Day was held in conjunction with HomeAid’s Stock the House Drive, which garnered donations of housewares for the home, including dishes, small appliances, towels, and much more.  Thanks to the community members who contributed, merchandise donations totaled approximately $2,000.

Josh Paterson Joins Paran Homes as VP of Construction

Commercial and Residential Construction Veteran Rounds Out the Leadership Team at Metro Atlanta-Based Regional Home Builder

Duluth, Ga, January 22, 2018 – Expanding throughout the Southeast with imaginative communities showcasing stunning new construction homes, Paran Homes is pleased to announce an expansion of a different sort: the growth of its leadership team with the addition of Josh Paterson as its new VP of Construction. Boasting a colorful portfolio that includes a number of highly respected builders and widely recognizable commercial brands, this newest team member has already hit the ground running as even more growth is projected for 2018 in Paran Homes’ major markets of Atlanta and Nashville.

“Josh brings with him a wealth of experience and a very cool body of work that includes construction projects for Bugaboo Creek Steakhouses, Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, Chilis, public schools and medical facilities, as well as a variety of communities launched by a number of builders who share a similar dedication to quality,” said Michael Rosenberg, President of Paran Homes. “Like us, Josh is very focused on the customer experience. He’s going to be looking to streamline processes, increase value and enhance our level of quality even further for the good of the Paran Homes’ buyer.”

Having launched his construction career in 1992, Paterson is considered a seasoned veteran with turns at GT Builders, Touchstone Homes, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods and Taylor Morrison. During his time at Touchstone Homes, he played an integral role in the company’s recognition as “America’s Best Builder” by Builder Magazine in 2007. During the early part of his career, Paterson also worked alongside his father at a family-owned construction company for a number of years where their largest account was Centex Homes. In addition to liking the fact that Paran Homes is a privately-owned company with an outstanding corporate culture, Paterson was drawn to the regional homebuilder by the opportunity it represents for him and the rest of the leadership team to take it to the next level.

“I hope to bring leadership, accountability and the best people and trade partners I can find to the Construction Division at Paran Homes,” said Paterson. “One of my first challenges is to rebuild our start process to an even-flow system for a more consistent timeline. It’s somewhat of an assembly line mentality for a more efficient process that benefits the buyer, our subcontractors and the company as a whole. It’s all about quality over quantity. As one result, Paran will be the builder of choice among subcontractors because they know when they show up, the project will be organized and the job will be ready for them. Customer service will continue to be a huge emphasis going forward. Marking another important element of the even-flow system and the additional time it allows, I will initiate quality assurance inspections prior to a buyer’s new home orientation. Not only will this ensure that the home is built to our standards, but it will also help us catch any potential defects and correct them. A short punch list at the new home orientation means well-deserved peace of mind for the buyer.”

Paran Homes Raises the Curtain on Heritage Pointe in Lawrenceville

Southeast Homebuilder Introduces Its Newest Gwinnett County Community, Featuring Single-Family Homes Priced from the High $200’s

The_crestwood_by_paran_homesDuluth, Ga, January 24, 2018  –  As a Gwinnett County-based business, it only makes sense that Paran Homes would elect to focus a fair amount of energy on the second largest county in Georgia in terms of population. With a highly successful run at Wheatfields Reserve in Grayson and a promising start at the new Villas at Park Place in Stone Mountain, Paran Homes is eager to see the response to its latest Gwinnett County single-family community, Heritage Pointe in Lawrenceville. Showcasing five stunning floor plans and a variety of elegant elevations from which to choose, two-story homes in Heritage Pointe are now pre-selling with a starting price of $275,990.

“We’re really proud of the location we’ve selected for Heritage Pointe,” said Paran Homes’ President, Michael Rosenberg. “Situated near Highway 316 and Buford Drive, the community is convenient to the best Gwinnett County has to offer – the Mall of Georgia, Gwinnett County Airport, Gwinnett Medical Center, historic Downtown Lawrenceville, a number of Gwinnett’s award-winning parks, Georgia Gwinnett College, I-85 and so much more. We’re finding that both Gwinnett County and the City of Lawrenceville are highly dedicated to economic development – making this an excellent time to move here and reap the rewards of a major employment center that is not only devoted to community, but also to serving as a tourist destination. What that means for residents is that it’s a great place to raise a family and there is no shortage of fun things to do here.”

Future residents of Heritage Pointe can enjoy shopping and dining in the bustling and ever-growing Mall of Georgia area, exploring area parks such as the 200-acre Rabbit Hill Park or 162-acre Rhodes Jordan Park with pool and tennis center, catching a Gwinnett Stripers baseball game at Coolray Field, taking in a play at Aurora Theatre or attending a family-friendly festival in Downtown Lawrenceville – just to name a few. Students living in Heritage Pointe will be afforded access to the highly revered Gwinnett County Public School System – including Dyer Elementary, Twin Rivers Middle and Mountainview High Schools.

To select a homesite and launch construction on the floor plan of their choosing, prospective homebuyers are encouraged to visit the Heritage Pointe sales center, located at 900 Progress Drive in Lawrenceville. Paran Homes Hits the Halfway Mark at The Woods of Midvale

Homes Priced from the $500’s are Selling Quickly in New DeKalb County Community

Paran Homes - Woods of Midvale - Azalea Floor Plan - smallDuluth, Ga, December 22, 2017 –  After announcing that construction was underway at The Woods of Midvale in November 2017, homes in this stunning enclave have been selling rapidly. With 10 of 20 single-family homes priced from the $500’s presold to date, Atlanta-based Paran Homes is at the halfway mark in the community that served as its introduction to both the City of Tucker and DeKalb County. The regional homebuilder has also launched construction on three of the remaining homesites to feature spec houses that will be available for a closing date in Spring 2018.

“We’re thrilled with the response thus far to The Woods of Midvale,” said Michael Rosenberg, President of Atlanta-based Paran Homes. “This community represents an excellent opportunity to purchase a new construction home in Tucker – something Atlanta homebuyers are clearly seeking. We’re finding that buyers are not only attracted to this awesome area of Atlanta and the imaginative floor plans we’ve selected for the community, but they also appreciate the idea of a semi-custom experience. Not only do they get to have their pick of the last seven estate-sized homesites – many of which offer private, beautifully wooded backyards, but they also get to choose from eight different floor plans. Once the home site and floor plan have been selected, they get to work with our talented team of professionals at the Paran Homes’ Design Center. There, they can choose all of the interior and exterior designer finishes that will make their home truly unique to their family’s specific needs, distinctive tastes and collective personality.”

For even more variety between one home and the next in The Woods at Midvale, each floor plan comes with a choice of three elevations. Some floor plans offer a desirable master on main, one-level living, 3-car garage and more. All residents of The Woods of Midvale will benefit from Paran Homes commitment to quality with energy-efficient construction and 30-year architectural roofs. To select a homesite and launch construction on the floor plan of their choosing, prospective homebuyers are encouraged to visit the Woods of Midvale sales center, located at 3533 Reevley Lane in Tucker.

In addition to beautiful homes, The Woods of Midvale provides its residents with convenience to everything the city of Tucker has to offer. Located near I-285, LaVista Road and Northlake Parkway, homeowners will enjoy shopping and dining in and around the Northlake Mall area. A number of delightful parks nearby add to the allure, including the sprawling 121-acre Henderson Park, the more intimate 17-acre Kelly C. Cofer Park and the 68-acre Lucky Shoals Park. This new Dekalb County community also boasts convenience to the attractions, recreational outlets and jam-packed calendar of events at one of Atlanta’s most popular destinations, Stone Mountain Park. Students living in The Woods of Midvale will be afforded access to Midvale Elementary, Henderson Middle and Tucker High Schools.

In addition to the Woods of Midvale, Paran Homes has a presence throughout the Atlanta area in 13 new home communities stretching all the way from Jefferson to the North and Powder Springs to the West.
