ATLANTA SALES & MARKETING COUNCIL SUPPORTS HOMEAID ATLANTA

ATLANTA - On February 9, 2017, the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) presented HomeAid Atlanta with a gift of $11,000, the proceeds from the SMC’s 2016 Silent Auction. The annual event was held in December at the Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina, in conjunction with the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s holiday party.

Over the past twenty years, the SMC’s Silent Auction has raised approximately $100,000 in support of charities helping children and adults in need. HomeAid is a wonderful cause and we’re excited to see all the lives changed this year through our donation. I can’t wait for the 2017 Silent Auction in support of HomeAid!”

Get involved to help homeless babies and their moms this Mother’s Day!

HomeaidHomeAid Atlanta will host its 16th Annual Essentials Drive from May 1 –May 9, 2017 in honor of Mother’s Day. The Essentials Drive is a metro Atlanta-wide drive to collect “essentials” such as diapers, baby wipes, baby food and formula for homeless infants and toddlers. An estimated 7,500 people in metro Atlanta are homeless on any given night and almost 50% are women and children. Thanks to community support, since 2002 this drive has collected almost 900,000 essential baby items, assisting hundreds of moms and babies in the metro Atlanta area.

Atlanta-based UPS will partner with HomeAid Atlanta for the eleventh year to assist with delivery of donated items. These essentials will go to local nonprofit organizations, several of which operate in HomeAid-built facilities, that provide housing and supportive services to homeless infants, toddlers, and families. Paran Homes Named 2016 Builder of the Year by HomeAid Atlanta

Southeast Home Builder Recognized for its Support of Nonprofit Organization Devoted to Helping the Homeless, as well as other Local Neighbors in Need

Duluth, Ga, February 16, 2017 – On January 26, Paran Homes was named Builder of the Year by HomeAid Atlanta for its many contributions over the course of 2016. Hosted at the Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter, the awards presentation – which included the recognition of Sherwin-Williams as Trade Partner of the Year and the Atlanta Chapter of Professional Women in Building (PWB) as Volunteer of the Year – took place during the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Installation and Awards Program. Award winners were selected for the gifts of their time and resources, as well as their dedication to furthering HomeAid Atlanta’s mission of “building new lives for Atlanta’s homeless.”

Throughout 2016, Paran Homes was proud to serve as an Essentials Drive donor and donation site for collecting diapers, wipes, and formula for homeless babies and their families. The Southeast home builder also served as a sponsor, volunteer, and participant in HomeAid’s annual Housing the Homeless Golf Tournament.  During HomeAid’s “Stock the House” Drive, Paran Homes made a large furniture donation for HomeAid’s newly completed apartment building at Phoenix Pass – a long-term transitional housing complex serving women with children who are experiencing temporary homelessness in the Conyers/Rockdale County community. In addition, the Paran Homes team donated printers to support the administrative efforts of HomeAid and its service provider partners.

Michael Rosenberg Named President of Atlanta-Based Paran Homes

Southeast Home Builder Adds Seasoned Industry Veteran to Leadership Team; Company Poised for Growth in 2017

Duluth, Ga, February 9, 2017 – In December 2016, Southeast home builder – Paran Homes – added Michael Rosenberg to its leadership team as company president. HOMEAID ATLANTA’S 2016 AWARD WINNERS

ATLANTA, GA – On Thursday, January 26, HomeAid Atlanta proudly announced its 2016 award winners. HomeAid honored the 2016 Builder of the Year, Trade Partner of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year during the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Installation and Awards Program at the Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina. Each award winner exhibited selfless dedication to HomeAid Atlanta’s mission and gave generously of their time and resources. These award winners are knowledgeable and passionate about HomeAid’s work.

2016 Builder of the Year – Paran Homes

Paran Homes stood out through its leadership and participation in two HomeAid Care Days last year; as an Essentials Drive donor and donation site (collecting diapers, wipes, and formula for homeless babies and their families); and as a sponsor, volunteer, and participant in HomeAid’s annual Housing the Homeless Golf Tournament. In addition, Paran Homes supported HomeAid’s “Stock the House” drive with a large furniture donation for HomeAid’s newly completed apartment building at Phoenix Pass. 2016 Trade Partner of the Year – Sherwin-Williams

Once again, Sherwin-Williams proved essential to HomeAid Atlanta’s mission. Sherwin-Williams donated nearly 300 gallons of paint for HomeAid’s major build at Phoenix Pass in Conyers, as well as HomeAid Care Days. In addition to paint, Sherwin-Williams also shared their expertise by providing an associate to advise HomeAid about proper paint choices for projects. Sherwin-Williams participated in two HomeAid Care Days with their Pro Painters Institute Painter Training Program, a program providing training to people working to improve their lives. The training program provided basic painting skills to program participants who painted and made small repairs at two Atlanta shelters serving women and children.

2016 Volunteer of the Year – Professional Women in Building (PWB), Atlanta Chapter

The HomeAid Atlanta Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to the Atlanta PWB for their outstanding service in support of HomeAid. This group held an Essentials Drive collection, participated in a HomeAid Care Day, and conducted a highly successful “Stock the House” drive for Phoenix Pass, collecting housewares to help the new shelter residents feel welcome. Since its Atlanta chapter inception in 2012, the PWB has been a vital volunteer group in support of HomeAid’s mission.

HomeAid Atlanta, founded in 2001, is a nonprofit organization that builds new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.
